We've always thought that the love Eva Longoria and Tony Parker have for each other is incredibly strong because, well, who on Earth could put up with having Eva Longoria follow them about all the time if it wasn't?
And now Eva Longoria and Tony Parker have made their love for each other official – twice. On Saturday, Eva and Tony got married for the second time in two hours at a Paris church near the Louvre. It's unknown why Eva Longoria and Tony Parker chose a church so close to a famous art gallery to get wed in, but we'd imagine it was some form of compromise – Tony Parker got to get married in the country where he was raised before moving to America, while the proximity to the Louvre meant that Eva Longoria would be surrounded by Americans loudly talking about how clever they are because they went to see The Da Vinci Code at the cinema once.
There was a while when Eva Longoria was probably the most famous single woman in the world. Hardly a day would pass without Eva Longoria prattling on about her vagina or showing off her boobs to aliens or nearly making a lesbian sex film with Beyonce, but that's all a thing of the past now, because Eva Longoria has got married to Tony Parker.
Oh come on, you know Tony Parker. He's an athlete of some sort. The man who Eva Longoria said was terrible at sex right before they split up for three days. Remember? Anyway, forget all the rocky patches that they had, because Eva Longoria and Tony Parker went and got married a couple of times this weekend, just like they said they would. Reuters reports:
"Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria and basketball player Tony Parker married for a second time on Saturday, exchanging vows in a Paris church 24 hours after tying the knot at a civil ceremony. Hundred of fans hoping for a glimpse of the stars were disappointed as guards kept them well away from the 12th century church, across the road from the Louvre museum. No details emerged about the half-hour service, and the only sign it was over came when red buses began shuttling friends and family to a 17th century chateau outside the French capital, where a lavish reception was planned.
You'll be pleased to know that it's French law for couples to get married twice – they need a civil ceremony if they want to marry in a church – so at least Eva Longoria and Tony Parker aren't getting into any Pamela Anderson/ Kid Rock self-publicity territory. For once.
But Eva Longoria cope with life as a married woman? Luckily two of her Desperate Housewives co-stars are married, so at least she has a couple of role-models to learn from. But Eva Longoria should be careful which path she chooses. Copy Felicity Huffman and she'll just end up making crappy Lindsay Lohan movies, but copy Marcia Cross and she'll be getting horrifically pregnant and taking nude pictures of herself until the end of time. Let's hope that Eva Longoria's former Desperate Housewives co-star Page Kennedy isn't married either, lest Eva feel the need to copy him and flash her penis at everyone all the time.
