Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell are like an old married couple. A bitter old resentful married couple that really hate each other of course – which sort of makes Barbara Walters, we don't know, a terrifying ancient robot mother-in-law or something.
Obviously that's not a fair comparison; Rosie O'Donnell is an overweight lesbian and Donald Trump is probably the least lovable man on the planet, so they'd never get married – plus we don't think robots were invented when Barbara Walters was born. But, look, this tiresome Rosie O'Donnell Vs Donald Trump Vs Barbara Walters cage-fight is steadfastly refusing to die a death and we're running out of things to say about it. The latest bout of Rosie O'Donnell Vs Donald Trump has seen Rosie's colleague Barbara Walters call Donald "poor" and "pathetic" on TV – a statement which resulted in 45 highly disturbing minutes of solid high-fiving and breast-nuzzling from the stars of The View.
If anyone needed an explanation as to why nobody is watching the new season of The Apprentice, it's because people can already see Donald Trump's giant angry face rattling on about how fat Rosie O'Donnell is 24/7, so the thought of watching Donald prodding his finger around for a further hour on prime-time TV is naturally off-putting. And it's a two-way street, too – VHS rentals of The Flintstones In Viva Rock Vegas are thought to have slipped by up to 3% too, purely because people are just as sick of Rosie O'Donnell.
This whole feud between Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump seems to have been going on for upwards of six or seven years now, so here's a quick reminder of what the hell's been going on. First Donald Trump gave a reprieve to sex and drugs and booze Miss USA Tara Conner and Rosie O'Donnell called it a publicity stunt on The View. Then Donald Trump fired an almost-Biblical volley of insults at Rosie, leaving Rosie's co-host Barbara Walters to halfheartedly show support for Rosie, which Trump quickly refuted. Then Rosie O'Donnell called Donald Trump "obsessed" and we thought it was all over.
It wasn't. Now Barbara Walters is back, and determined to try and look as if she vaguely means slightly more business than last time. The New York Daily News reports that this happened on yesterday's The View:
"That poor, pathetic man," Walters said on "The View" yesterday, whipping the crowd into a cheering frenzy as she slapped hands with O'Donnell. "You know, he just can't – he just can't let go, but we're moving on."… "Well, he's at it again," O'Donnell said at the start of yesterday's show, though they never mentioned Trump by name. "How about that, Barbara? You okay?" "I'm okay, darling," Walters cooed, as the women in the audience hollered their approval. It was too much for Trump, who quickly called Walters a liar and a "sad figurehead" on a failing show. "Barbara Walters has taken the low road for the sake of her show," Trump said in a statement. "Barbara has become a sad figurehead dominated by a third-rate comedian."
Hopefully now Barbara Walters has stepped in and done a few tactical high-fives here and there, all of this Rosie O'Donnell Vs Donald Trump business will segue into a dignified ceasefire. But in the meantime, let's all be thankful that The View doesn't stretch out all its memorable moments as tenuously as this – otherwise Danny DeVito would still be lurching around The View set, now in his third month of non-stop drinking, his once-amusing tales of having sex in The White House now nothing more than a series of spiteful semi-coherent shrieks about how nobody wants his script for the sequel to Renaissance Man.

I don’t care what you say about all this… it’s the most entertaining fight between a fat lesbian and a bad-haired self-publicist that I can remember. Even if I couldn’t give two shits who wins it

I think iit is about time Trump grew up. This sillienss is an act of a 10 year old girl. I use to watch his show all the time and now I wouldn’t waste my time. And to pull this wife and daughter into it is sad. But money does buy anything.

Rosie, I understand the “Donald” is having trouble at his private country club in Florida in regards to flying a huge American Flag. I have nothing against the flag but I was wondering does Trump still ban Jews from joining? I know a few years ago there was a ban because my fathers’ friend tried to join. He was told that the membership was full but he found out from someone who tried to join it was because he was Jewish. I am curisous to know if this still is the rule?
