Screaming Australian Lost Woman Splits From Six-Month Husband

Think back to the innocent days of June 2006. Happy times, weren't they, when even minor characters from drawn-out TV shows about rabbits with pacemakers could bumble into badly thought-out marriages without even the smallest care for the future.

Yes, Emilie de Ravin, we're talking about you. Chances are that you know Emilie de Ravin as Claire, the Australian girl who was pregnant but isn't any more and who doesn't seem to have anything to do with anything any more, from Lost. But from now on you will know Emilie de Ravin as the girl who couldn't stay married even if her blinking life depended on it, because after six largely anonymous months together, Emilie De Ravin and her husband Josh Janowicz have decided to split up. We blame the guy with the eye patch.

We'd love to know what goes on during a casting session for Lost. There must be a series of questions like "Are you fully committed to spending five years working on the same project?" "Would you be willing to relocate exclusively to Hawaii for the duration of the show?" and "Are you basically unable to do many simple things that most human beings take for granted?"

That last question needs to be answered yes, we'd imagine, judging from all the mental shit that has happened to the cast of Lost lately. From Mr Eko being arrested to Michelle Rodriguez being thrown in jail to Josh Holloway being held up at gunpoint in bed to Evangeline Lilly's house burning down, all sorts of unfortunate events happen to the people who are in Lost. Although there was one exception - Emilie De Ravin, who plays Claire. In June Emilie de Ravin quietly tiptoed off to Australia to get married to actor Josh Janowicz without a hint of pretence. But six months in and even that's gone tits up for Emilie de Ravin, as E! Online reports:

The actor and her husband, Josh Janowicz, have separated after six months of marriage, her publicist confirmed to E! News. No word on what led to the breakup. De Ravin, who plays single mother Claire Littleton on ABC's Lost, wed Janowicz at an intimate ceremony in her native Australia on June 19. None of her costars were believed to have been in attendance.

Who can really say what helped to split up such a young marriage? Surely it can't be pressures of work - Josh Janowicz is hardly a household name and Emilie de Ravin's Lost output has been reduced to the line CLAIRE SCOWLS AT CHARLIE AND THEN HUGS HER BABY appearing in the script once every six weeks. Still, at least all the gaps in her shooting schedule mean that Emile de Ravin can marry and divorce up to 18 different men before she's needed for another scene.
