The Phil Spector murder trial is finally starting to wind down, so yesterday Phil Spector's defence decided to pull out its really big gun – Phil Spector's daughter Nicole, whose gold-plated testimony revealed what hand Phil Spector uses when he writes.
OK, so maybe using Nicole Spector as a defence witness in the dying moments of the Phil Spector murder trial was a bit of a damp squib – especially since the judge and prosecution lawyers immediately stopped her from saying anything other than that Phil Spector was right-handed. But knowing that Phil Spector is right-handed is an important part of the defence's argument – not only does it support the defence's claim that Phil Spector forensically couldn't have murdered Lana Clarkson, but also the Dalai Lama is right-handed, and he's never murdered anyone either. Coincidence? We think not.
As we reported yesterday, the defence in the Phil Spector murder trial is winding down but, before the prosecution can begin gearing up its rebuttal case, the defence had one last surprise up its sleeve – Phil Spector's 24-year-old daughter Nicole. As Phil Spector's flesh and blood, Nicole would have more insight than anyone else as to the machinations of her father's mind. Maybe Nicole could testify that Phil Spector never tried to rape her at gunpoint and didn't ever call her a fucking cunt who deserved to be shot – which would at least prove that Phil Spector didn't verbally hate every single woman on the planet, at least.
But no. Instead, Nicole Spector testified that Phil Spector is right-handed. And that's just about it, as MSNBC reports:
During her high school years, her father would pick her up from school and often they would go to her mother’s home for dinner, she said under questioning by defense attorney Linda Kenney-Baden. “Yes, my mother would cook and we would go back to my — to our house — and he would eat dinner with us and we would watch ‘All in the Family,’ ” the daughter said. The prosecutor objected and the judge interjected, “Let’s get to the point.” Nicole Spector then said under defense questioning that her father is right-handed.
Since none of Phil Spector's DNA was found on the gun that killed Lana Clarkson, the testimony of Phil Spector's daughter is actually fairly important as it further backs up claims that Phil Spector couldn't have murdered Clarkson – claims that the defence now says is backed up by blood spatter patterns. Also, all left-handed people are murderers. But that's just speculation on our part.
So, for now at least, that's Phil Spector's defence in a nutshell – that he's a puny wussbag and a right-handed midget. They may as well set him free right now with a watertight case like that.

I have really enjoyed reading your witty articles about the Phil Spector trial. They are very amusing and I’ve become
addicted to your analysis. However, I have to say that it is bugging me that every page the word “defense” is spelled
incorrectly. At first I thought it was a typo but it has been repeated every day. Just an FYI, its not “defence”.
