Foxy Brown is currently in jail for pretty much beating up everyone in the world twice, but that isn't going to stop her going to court on even more charges of beating up other people.
After initially refusing to go to court because she'd have to travel on the prison bus instead her usual transport – presumably an armoured tank pulled by 12 giant flaming hell-dogs – Foxy Brown yesterday rolled up to court and pleaded not guilty of clouting her neighbour in the face with a BlackBerry even though there's overwhelming evidence against her. But at least the court date allowed Foxy Brown to be let out of jail for a few hours. And free of the unspeakable violence, despicable manners and constant non-existent personal hygiene, we're sure that Foxy Brown's cellmates were thankful for the break.
Believe it or not but Foxy Brown has a new album out next month. Leaving aside the fact that it's probably just the sound of a furious midget smashing up the inside of a vocal booth because she caught a glimpse of her own reflection looking at herself funny, we're staggered that Foxy Brown has even found the time to put it all together lately, what with all the court appearances and beauty shop-destroying and possibly non-existent muggings and definitely non-existent pregnancies.
And, oh yeah, being in jail. Foxy Brown has been in jail on a one-year sentence for probation violation for a few weeks now, but that doesn't mean she's stopped getting in trouble, because Foxy's still up for an assault charge after apparently smashing up her neighbour's face with a BlackBerry. Not that Foxy Brown seems to think she's done anything wrong, though, as E! Online reports:
Unlike last week, Foxy Brown actually managed to make it on the bus Tuesday from Riker's Island to Brooklyn Superior Court and back again. Though, according to the incarcerated rapper, it should have been a one-way trip. The "Hot Spot" singer has pleaded not guilty to assault charges stemming from a July 30 incident in which she allegedly threw her BlackBerry at a neighbor who complained about the volume of Brown's car radio. Although the rapper, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was present in the courtroom for the hearing, the plea was entered on her behalf by attorney John Sampson.
If she's found guilty of assault, Foxy Brown stands to spend another seven years in jail. But that probably won't happen because a) Foxy Brown says she's innocent and isn't her word enough, and b) outside of the court room it seemed very much like her attorney is gunning for the old 'Foxy Brown's neighbour was so jealous of Foxy's celebrity lifestyle that she somehow impaled her own face on the BlackBerry' tactic, and that seems pretty watertight to us.
