The International – DVD Review

the-international-clive-owenFor a man who seemed disinterested in playing the suave spy James Bond, Clive Owen has seemingly decided to fill his CV with knock-off government agents ever since.

Which brings us to The International, a film that manages to pit Owen against a group of evil bankers (Watch out! They’ve got pens on chains!).

Owen plays hardened Interpol agent Louis Salinger, on the trail of a top bank with Naomi Watts‘ Assistant DA. both uncovering their dodgy dealings which are funding global terrorism. The film’s timing is somewhat unfortunate given the current climate (might as well kick the banks while they’re down)…

2012It has been a long time coming but the highly-anticipated 2012 trailer has finally been released to the public with much critical and fan adoration.

Following on from the popular trailers for Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow and Godzilla, Roland Emmerich proves that nobody is directing trailers with the same panache and reckless abandon for US monuments quite like the German trailer auteur.

Set in the not too distant future, the trailer for 2012 tells the story of a desperate families struggle to survive around the apocalypse. John Cusack stars as the father struggling to re-unite his broken family and save their lives from certain doom…

batman_nipples-772252So you played online poker for three hours and won a sum that a Polish minimum wage employee would snort derisively at.

The disappointment you feel could not compare to that of these fine gentlemen of film after learning what the wardrobe department had in store for them. We’ve all had to wear tights for one reason or another in our life, but even the butchest of men struggle to pull off these fashion faux pas.

So kick-starting the list is a man who drinks ugly and craps failure…
