For a couple who appear to be on the cover of every magazine all the sodding time, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie seem to be developing a real dislike for photographers, especially those with a fondness for shrubbery.
Last month, police arrested Clint Brewer for hiding in a bush near Maddox Jolie's school, apparently waiting to take a picture of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt dropping him off. However, yesterday it was announced that Brewer would not face any charges, in an announcement that will bring joy to the hearts of those who like hiding out uncomfortably in a big plant just so that they can take a picture of some people we're already getting a little bit sick of seeing.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have a rocky history with photographers. When things go their way, like when they can sell pictures of Shiloh Nouvel for millions of dollars, then everyone's happy – the magazine gets a front cover, Brad and Angelina have control over the images and Shiloh Nouvel gets to sell a load of T-shirts to idiots.
But things don't always go so smoothly for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in the photo department. When they were living in Namibia, the police took time off from all their frenzied meat-cooking to arrest snapper John Liebenberg for trespassing twice while trying to take pictures of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. And then the American secret service raided a house that allegedly contained a memory card of some private photos stolen from a camera belonging to Angelina Jolie's brother.
And it doesn't stop – back on June 22, one of Angelina Jolie's bodyguards claimed that he saw snapper Clint Brewer hiding in a bush outside of the school attended by four-year-old Maddox Jolie. Brewer was then arrested for trespassing, although yesterday it was revealed that he won't face any charges, since nobody knew if he was trespassing on school property, or if he was merely standing near school property. Los Angeles County District Attorney’s spokeswoman Jane Robison said:
“We declined to file based on the lack of sufficient evidence of where exactly he was standing.”
Meanwhile, it's thought that Angelina Jolie has halted doing the voicework for Kung Fu Panda because she told her bodyguard that someone might be taping what she says.
