When you're as famous as Michael Jackson it's not all sunshine and monkeys, sometimes people die; they die because you're so famous – they die and then they sue you because you're so famous that you inadvertently murder them, in fact.

That's exactly the situation that Michael Jackson finds himself in now. An angry family is suing Michael Jackson for what they claim is his involvement in the death of their mother two years ago. Thankfully the family of Manuela Ruiz aren't suggesting that Michael Jackson got her tanked up on Jesus Juice, showed her some porn and then wanked her to death – that would be abominable – but instead it's about hospitals and moving and stuff. Not as interesting, you'll agree, but still interesting enough for you to keep reading.

There's a very strong chance that Michael Jackson thought the worst was over – he'd been cleared of fiddling with boys, he'd been cleared of making giraffes wallow in their own blood and he'd even stopped running around dressed as a woman all the time. Neverland's for sale, there's a new Michael Jackson album in the pipeline and everyone now thinks of Jermaine Jackson as the lovely calm one from Celebrity Big Brother instead of the man who tried to sell a book about how Michael Jackson likes to touch boys on the winky. Everything was looking rosy for Michael Jackson again.

But the feeling didn't last for long, because Michael Jackson is now being sued by the family of a woman that Michael Jackson apparently helped to kill. Back during his molestation trial, Michael Jackson held proceedings up because he was suffering from a flu-like condition and he was taken to the Marian Medical Centre in Santa Maria for treatment. But when he was there, the family of Manuela Ruiz allege that their sick mother – who had suffered a heart attack earlier that day – had her life support switched of and was bumped out of her trauma room so that Michael Jackson could be looked at. MSNBC reports:

San Luis Obispo attorney James McKiernan, who is representing the family, told reporters his clients expected a certain level of care at the hospital, but instead their dying mother was allegedly "hustled" aimlessly about the hospital and unhooked from a life support system to create privacy for Jackson and his entourage in the trauma room… Ruiz, reportedly kept alive by hand-pumped oxygen, was slowly transported to an exam room with no medical equipment in it, according to the plaintiffs. Life-support machines later arrived at Ruiz's new room. However, she had another heart attack, and the lawsuit claims the crowds delayed her arrival at the critical-care unit. She died later that evening. 

It's an awful situation for all parties to be in; the Ruiz family are obviously upset at a perceived cause of their – already very sick – mother, and Michael Jackson has to be linked to the death of an elderly woman he'd probably never even met. A date for the lawsuit to get underway has yet to be set, although it's thought that Michael Jackson could give a share of proceeds from his new album to the Ruiz family, on the basis that no fucker's going to but it anyway.
