Anand Jon Alexander: America’s Next Top Rapist?
Like us, you've probably seen Paris Hilton out on the town in a weird outfit and thought to yourself "Ugh, I bet those clothes were designed by a rapist" - and judging by the trouble that fashion designer Anand Jon Alexander is in, you could be right.
Anand Jon Alexander, a highly-feted fashion designer who has appeared several times on America's Next Top Model, has been arrested and charged with six counts of rape and sexual assault including one incident where the victim was a 15-year-old girl. If found guilty of these charges, Anand Jon Alexander faces life imprisonment - a sentence that sounds hellish to most people but a challenge to Anand Jon Alexander, who has long stated his wish to see more incarcerated arsonists in pretty little off the shoulder numbers.
Since rape isn't an especially amusing subject, we've tended to steer clear of it on hecklerspray, with the hilarious exception of that film where Dakota Fanning gets raped, obviously. Well, actually we've avoided it partly because it isn't funny and partly because there's always been a something of a shortfall of celebrity rapists to discuss.
But not any more. Even though we haven't got the slightest clue who he is and he hasn't been found guilty of anything yet, up and coming fashion designer Anand Jon Alexander - who designs under the name Anand Jon - has been charged with six counts accusing him of rape and sexual assault over the last two and a half years, including one instance with a 15-year-old girl. In the absence of any competition, this easily makes Anand Jon Alexander the most famous potential rapist around. Time reports:
Anand Jon Alexander, 33, was charged with six felonies accusing him of a series of sexual assaults between October 2004 and March 5, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office. The Indian-born designer, who goes by the name Anand Jon, was arrested at his Beverly Hills apartment on March 6 after a woman accused him of rape, authorities said Tuesday. "Subsequently, additional evidence led us to other victims," said Lt. Mitch McCann, a spokesman for the Beverly Hills Police Department, which is investigating the case. The charges include forcible rape and lewd acts on a child. Prosecutors have also charged a special circumstance allegation of multiple victims. If convicted, he faces a maximum of life in prison.
If you don't watch enough bad chubby Tyra Banks-fronted TV shows to know exactly who Anand Jon Alexander is, relax - neither do we. Rest assured, though, that Anand Jon Alexander has designed clothes for drink-driving Paris Hilton, drink-driving Michelle Rodriguez and non drink-driving Mary J Blige, and has also been dubbed 'One To Watch In 2007' by Newsweek, even though Newsweek probably didn't mean it in a 'watch him or else he'll try and rape you' sense.
Anyway, Anand Jon Alexander is currently being held in lieu of $1.3 million bail ahead of a hearing on Monday. For what it's worth, Anand Jon's lawyer Ronald Richards is sure that his client is not guilty:
Richards said his client met one of his accusers online after she expressed interest in working with him. "When you have people desperate to be in fashion, they get upset when you don't place them where they want to be," he said, adding that his client was involved with many different women. "When you deal with a large amount of women, you're going to have potential false allegations made against you," Richards said.
Even if he is eventually found to be innocent of these rape charges - and escapes being deported to his native India - Anand Jon Alexander will still have a mountain to climb when it comes to clearing his name and re-establishing himself as a fashion designer. On the plus side, at least we know who he is now. Sort of.

The rape is not even shown onscreen. It’s called fiction. It’s only a poor reflection on yourself if you have a problem with rape victims being portrayed in movies, I’m sure you would be more comfortable sweeping it under the rug along with your buddies Ted Baehr and Bill Donohue.

1) Clothing designer
2) Fashion photographer
3) Retail manager (esp. clothing stores)
4) School teacher
5) Priest
Why there isn’t more oversight for people who fall into these categories, I’ll never know.
You know it’s people like you who make it so hard for men to be teachers. Don’t freaking stereotype people because they want to make sure children, the future of this world, actually know how to read and count so they aren’t illiterate morons with no clue. There is nothing wrong with males teaching children and it does NOT mean they are either pedophiles or rapists!
Your job of choice has nothing to do with whether or not you think young people are physically attractive to the point of tapping or whether you feel the need to force sexual attentions. ANY ONE could be or not be a pedophile or rapist!

I am so happy that the police finally caught up with anandjon. I my opinion he is a pedophile. The police need to investigate all the girls from Dallas, tx. and i am sure they will find other young girls that are victims.
His designs are the same season after season. He is a wanna be designer!
One girl was only in his apartment 30 minutes befor she was raped.He is a slime ball.They let him post bail because he didn’t kill anyone. Tell that to the girls.

Anand Jon is an internet predator. I’ve witnessed it firsthand along with underaged girls living in his apartment.
Why does no one call this man what he is; an ‘alleged serial rapest and child molester’.
This is being seriously downplayed by the fashion industry. I understand the fact that you try to protect your own, but the cat is out of the bag and this guy is going down. Don’t let him draw the reat of you down with him.
Last I read there where 26 girls laying various charges. The way the headlins read, I expected 1. I am appauled at the coverage of this story. Get this guy off the streets, and get him a boy friend in prision, a weell endowed one.

Innocent until proven guilty. I know it’s hard to believe but you have to accept the fact that it IS possible that all 26 girls are lying. It happens. Not saying he did or didn’t do it, just that either is possible.

Wow, you truly are an ignorant person. I am an Idian, born here in the U.S and am in my late twenties that understands that you are the type of individual that need help. Why don’t you look at the divorce rate here in the U.S versus India. This has nothing to do with where a person is from and you need to educate yourself buddy!!!
I can’t believe how everybody jumps on the bandwagon that all Indian are rapeists. When there is money involved everybody is ready to come out of the woodwork to cry “rape” so they can get piece of the money.
i think in fashion world models are same guilty as Anand Jon no doubt that the models are never having good character so why judge is having feeling with only models not Anand jon .i m in anand’s fever as he is indian.and he is very talented and he has a long path to go
