Yes yes, we know what you're thinking – the only way you'd go and see a film starring reunited Titanic leads Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet is if you had the assurance that they both drowned in the iceberg-filled Atlantic at the end of it this time.
Well, there's no such luck there. True, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are making their first film together since Titanic – the movie that propelled them both to fame – a decade ago, but there'll be no icebergs, Irish jigs or Billy Zane being comically unable to fire a gun properly at short range this time, because the film that Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are reuniting to star in is Revolutionary Road, a depressing-sounding film about postwar disillusionment. But don't worry that Revolutionary Road will be too different from Titanic, because Kate Winslet will still probably get her boobies out – we hear she won't make a film unless a nippleflash is inserted somewhere in it.
Titanic changed the lives of so many different people. Thanks to the bewildering success of Titanic, director James Cameron had the time and money to go and dig up Jesus, while the movie prompted several million people to strike 'go on cruise' from their lists of things to do before they died. But, more than anyone else, Titanic sent its two young stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet off into the stratosphere.
After Titanic was made, Leonardo DiCaprio thought about quitting acting before realising that being a moviestar would give him the platform to save the world and crush corporations and adopt poverty-stricken children and start fights in Israel, whereas Kate Winslet had a different plan. Kate Winslet just sued people.
But now Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet – the Romeo And Juliet of overlong films that take real-life tragedies and mash them into implausible love stories – are reuniting for a new movie called Revolutionary Road, directed by Winslet's husband. Reuters reports:
Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, who played ill-starred lovers in the 1997 smash "Titanic," are reuniting for a drama about post-war disillusionment, Hollywood trade paper Daily Variety reported on Friday. "Revolutionary Road" will be directed by Winslet's husband, British filmmaker Sam Mendes, who won an Oscar for "American Beauty." The DreamWorks project is based on the 1961 novel by Richard Yates, Daily Variety said. It revolves around a suburban 1950s couple tragically caught between their true desires and the pressure to conform.
Wow – Revolutionary Road has the word 'Oscar' stamped all over it. Directed by a high-brow Oscar-winning director, starring two actors who were both nominated for Oscars this year, a subject-matter that makes people want to kill themselves either out of depression or boredom… Revolutionary Road looks like it'll clean up at the Oscars whenever it's released.
Unless Celine Dion does the soundtrack for this one too, naturally. Then we'll start throwing things.

Believe it or not, to this day, I still have not seen one solitary second of Titanic. I’m the luckiest girl alive!

Dicaprio and Winslet together again? Hopefully this time the movie doesn’t suck big time like Titanic. Leo has picked up
some respect in my book through his collaborations with Scorsese (The Departed was absolutely the greatest movie of
2006). So here’s hoping!
