Bon Jovi In Runway Plane Crash Nightmare
Then buzz it up
January 23rd, 2006 at 16:30 by Stuart Heritage
Bad-haired, analogy-loving, 1980s-throwback, halfway-there arena-rock poodles Bon Jovi had a close scrape this weekend when their plane lost control and skidded off a Canadian runway.
Maybe the runway got Slippery When Wet. The pilot must have given landing A Bad Name. Bon Jovi almost went down in Blaze Of Glory. It was lucky none of the band were injured, or else they would have had to take some Bad Medicine. Oh, that’s enough.

On Saturday, the band Bon Jovi (CDs) and many of their touring staff were flying
from Buffalo, New York, to Ontario as part of the tour for their
hopeless new album Have A Nice Day. However, heavy rain in Ontario made
it hard for the pilot to land the plane - so hard, in fact, that he
didn’t really land the plane properly at all.
As the plane touched down, it skidded and swerved off the runway
before coming
to a halt with its nose apparently ending up stuck in mud at the top of
a hill. Luckily, none of Bon Jovi, or any of the 14 passengers, were
injured by the crash and the members of Bon Jovi were said to be in
"high spirits" after disembarking from the plane. Which usually means
"drunk," but we’ll give the band the benefit of the doubt just this
once.
Canadian Bon Jovi fans can relax, though, as the band have vowed to
continue rocking out on their tour as normal. And, even better, maybe
this plane crash incident will have given Jon Bon Jovi something else
to write about apart from how life is like an open road and he’s just
walking down the open road of life and he isn’t going to live forever and he’ll sleep when he’s dead. Maybe we’ll even see a song called
Life Is Just A Skiddy Runway on the next Bon Jovi album.

You aint got a clue what music is have you really?? Bon Jovi is pure rock and roll nothing but the best, jon puts effort into reaching those notes, richie puts effort into pulling the strings, tico banging his drums like your head, and david dabbing away on the keyboard, and hugh trying his best bless him! Have a bit of respect, and think before you write rubbish unregarded comments about 5 LEGENDS!!!!!!!Maybe you give report writing a bad name! Keep smiling

I guess it would have been in poor taste for you to just simply write about the news at hand, or is this an opinion piece?
Bon Jovi STILL rocks! Glad they’re safe!

I thought it was witty and funny - I’m glad they’re ok and I live in Ontario and these things happen all the time
Damn weather !
Good use of puns - this writer obviously has Puns of Steel !

Actually, I thought it was a well-written and accurate article. Everybody over 13 knows that bon-bon-jovi and his band are a bunch of lame-arse poptarts and merit such derision.

your a loser!

I am glad to hear that the band and crew are ok although I am still disappointed that they only have 2 Canadian Cities on their World Tour. It’s very disappointing for their fans across Canada.

Have you been living under a rock or something? Bon Jovi’s new album hopeless? That’s why they are selling out at every arena they go to! You have no clue. Bon Jovi is one of the only 80’s rock bands that stood the test of time. I bet that is more then we will be able to say about you in 20 years!
January 31st, 2006 at 4:40 pm
All I can say is everyone has an opinion about music, even if it is wrong. Bon Jovi writes about life expriences and that is what makes him a real person. If you know anything about the band at all, you would know all the good they do to improve the community and as for their music, how many bands can you name that are still around after 23 years and still going stong. Give credit where it is do!
They will always rock even when they are gone. From the #1 Fan!!

Good article Stuart….
you hit the nail right on the head…Bon Jovi is a highly over rated band full of lame cliches.
All the songs soumd the same….a buch of aging “rockers” on tour cashing in on the large wallets of the 40 something crowd that is their fan base. The only shred of talent in the band is guitarist Richie Samboro.Let’s hope this cookie cutter band retires soon.

Well, I’m definitely over 13 matey,
I’ve been a fan of Bon Jovi since the beginning and am very happy to still see them selling out stadiums now. Can’t wait to see them in June at Wembley!!

Anyone who says that Bon Jovi is “cookie cutter” or “hacks” is clearly an idiot. Stop insulting people that you know nothing about just because you are jealous that you aren’t them! Bon Jovi is a great band that has stood the test of time very well, their music actually means something not like most songs out there today. Maybe you should listen to Last Man Standing from their current album because that pretty much sums it up for ya! As for Jon himself, trust me, he has more than just a “40 somethings” fan base, many ages love him and his music. And to say that anyone over 13 doesnt like the band, I think you have that reversed, no one under 13 would know who they are. You may say that you are entitled to express your opinion, well so am I and my opinion is you are an idiot!!

What’s the matter Stuart?? Did you catch your boyfriend jerking off to a picture of Jon? Geez, maybe it was your Dad and you simply can’t forgive this band for ruining your life. Sorry about your boyfriend AND your Dad disappointing you. LIfe goes on…
