Canada Day is just around the corner, and, in case you haven’t picked up on it yet, I just so happen to be Canadian! Canada isn’t just some liberal place Americans flee to in dystopian fiction (ok, and in real life sometimes), it’s actually produced some really cool people, some of which are famous!
Since I’ll probably be white girl wasted on actual Canada Day, I would like to take this moment to appreciate some of the sweet treasures my country has given the world. And no, neither Drake or Justin Bieber is on this list. Also, I know 6 is a weird number, but fuck off.
6. One of the Ryans
I mean, you could go with Reynolds or Gosling; they’re both super hot, really talented, and way cooler than most people, so take your pick.
5. Ellen Page
Ellen Page played Juno, and I really like that movie. She’s also a badass lesbian angel.
4. Neve Campbell
No, you didn’t get in a time machine and travel to 1997, Neve Campbell is really on this list. Neve’s character of Sidney Prescott in the “Scream” movies legit CHANGED THE GAME for final girls in horror films and every broad in every horror movie since 1997 owes her a fucking DEBT, and that makes her super cool. Plus, remember when she made out with a topless Denise Richards in “Wild Things” back before Denise was all contaminated by Charlie Sheen? And that’s not an AIDs joke, btw, having sex with Charlie Sheen was gross long before he got AIDs.
3. Seth Rogan
Seth Rogan is one of the most likeable, funny, and coolest celebrities in Hollywood right now and “Superbad” is legit one of my all-time favourite movies. I went to see it alone in theatres once. I saw it seven times in theatres in total.
2. The Weeknd
The Weeknd legit only sings about fucking bitches and doing cocaine so I guess that makes him pretty cool, right? Plus, I really like his music and maybe some day I’ll forgive him for leaving Bella Hadid for Selena Gomez (not likely, tho).
- 1. Celine Dion
For those of you wondering if I’m joking: Uh, no, I’m not. Celine Dion is a fucking global treasure who just barely beat out Shania Twain for the top spot. In fact, the only reason Celine gets number one over Shania is because she sang the song from “Titanic” whereas Shania just sang the song from “Twister”, which was a really lit tune, but not “My Heart Will Go On” lit. Celine is also really cool because she obviously doesn’t care what anyone thinks, because if she did she probably would dress, act and talk the way she does. “The Power of Love” is a jam, too.
