Someone, somewhere, is responsible for the inexplicable film career of Orlando Bloom. We’re not sure how – or why – Orlando Bloom gets starring roles in films, but the sad fact is that it happens.
One group partially responsible for inflicting Bloom onto the public consciousness is his former management company The Firm, and they’re suing him for his apparent failure to cough up £370,000 in commission for film roles they helped him to get.
They’re suing him? But it’s their fault that Orlando Bloom is famous. We should be suing them!
According to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court,
Orlando Bloom (DVDs) is being sued by his former management company The Firm
for an alleged failure to pay his 10% for work secured by The Firm’s
negotiations.
Orlando Bloom apparently entered into a verbal agreement with The
Firm to pay 10% of earnings in roles that the company negotiated for
him in June 2002 – an agreement which was terminated in July 2005. The
commission is dispute is said to stem from Bloom’s roles in rubbish
‘swords and sandals’ film Kingdom Of Heaven, rubbish ‘let’s talk about
our feelings’ film Elizabethtown and the forthcoming Pirates Of The
Caribbean 2 & 3, which might not be rubbish but Orlando Bloom will
probably be rubbish in.
Orlando Bloom moved from The Firm to a new management company
Brillstein-Grey Entertainment when talent manager Aleen Keshishian
moved there. Keshishian is Bloom’s manager and is also being sued,
along with Brillstein-Grey Entertainment – despite The Firm giving Keshishian it’s blessing when she jumped ship in the summer:
"We are glad Aleen’s wishes to be made an owner
and partner of a company can be met somewhere else, and we are
confident she will find the success she seeks. We wish her well."
Now The Firm just wishes she’d give them a stack of cash. Orlando Bloom, meanwhile, remains a mediocre actor who got lucky by wearing a lady’s wig in a bad film about wizards and stuff.

got something against Orlando Bloom Stuart? It would seem you don’t like him. I’m not in his fan club either but give the guy a break! He is a young actor trying to make his way in film history. Which by the way he has with LOTR. He comes across as a sweet kid. You come acrose as a vicious nasty troll.
sandor at the zoo says
Poor Orlando, sheesh. So much hate. ;-)
I don’t consider myself a fan of the guy or anything, but c’mon. He performed ably in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy and “Pirates of the Caribbean”. I can think of much worse actors that are making more money than Bloom.
And if we’re going to sue someone, Coldplay should be first on the list for re-inventing wuss rock. Followed by George Lucas, for a heap of cinematic offenses to large to be itemized here.

Orlando Bloom is a wonderful man and a talented actor! This is so like the Media! Why are you even having this discussion?!
My two cents: The whole “Verbal agreement” situation should have been in writing from the start. The firm should just up the law suit right now because that isn’t going to hold up in court one bit. The whole “He said and She said” crap is all hear say. Why would any judge listen to that?
Besides, I am PROUD to say that I am an Orlando Bloom fan! I’m not 16 or even 20. I’m a grown woman nearing her 30’s and think that Orlando Bloom is a breath of fresh air to Hollywood!
Sure he’s young and his success sky rocketed over the past few years. But give the man some credit! His fans are the ones keeping him in the lead roles not Hollywood. Go and do the research…that is why the director Riley Scott gave him the lead role in Kingdom of Heaven.
Besides, the media always has to tear someone down! I’m sick of the way “the media world” always has to go and attack people or print something that is only half true or not true at all!
Why don’t you go after a story that is meaningful! There are plenty of good things that people do every day! Write about that in stead of Orlando Bloom being sued!! It is ridiculous and absurd!

LOTR a bad film trilogy? A little bit hard to explain its enormous popularity if that is true. No doubt you’re the sort of elitist who thinks that if the unwashed masses love something, it can’t be any good.
As for Mr.Bloom, is he probably overexposed as an actor relative to his current talent level and experience. But you could have said as much without such a snarky tone.

Thank God someone has finally acknolwedged where the smell of rubbish in Hollywood is coming from these days. Beyond ruining movies Bloom’s only real talent appears to be hollywood hand-jobbing his way into them.

orlando bloom has total star quality – both on and off the screen. he is charismatic and charming in Elizabethtown, sexy and stoic in Kingdom of Heaven, fun and heroic in Pirates of the Carribean. and brilliant in the independent ensemble film Haven. Plus he appreciates his fans and is gracious and humble unlike most of his contemporaries. Besides, his films have grossed more millions than anyone under 30!!!!
as far as the sleazy Firm sueing him for money, he followed his longtime manager to a classier company. hollywood is always using and abusing people with power, fame, and money and this is no exception. they should be ashamed of themselves. i am sure when the truth comes out, it will be clear that orlando bloom does not owe anyone anything. watch for the Firm to withdraw or settle before being embarassed in court when the judge throws out their case!

I knew Orlando Bloom before the world knew him.
He was a Greek guy named George from New York, that lived in Hollywood. I also met his best friend, an up and coming actor named Heath Ledger (GOD BLESS HIM). Heath was a really nice guy, and George was always arrogant, but they were always hanging out together.
George always claimed his family was involved big in the TV and film industry in NYC, and he was going to be famous someday, and that he was the best actor in the world. Strangely though, George did not have an English accent at all.
Overnight I saw George with a new set of teeth in his mouth, like 20,000 movie star teeth, and he mentioned that he was “almost there”, and then when I saw him again he was in a movie with his name changed to Orlando Bloom. I noticed that he even had his chin filed down a bit, since he did have a pointy more prominent chin. Just weird but
So typical of Hollywood, George aka Orlando Bloom’s Bio is a facade.

I can just imagine the Orlando Bloom fan club frantically typing away, going crazy at the keyboard. It was cute all the Bloomette’s bought out the jealousy card.
So, because someone think he’s acting is shit that person is jealous? Wow, that’s sad. But not as sad as actual, breathing human beings who think Bloom has talent. I think a few people need an education in film.

i think all of the people who think orlando is a bad actor are pretty sad. i mean maybe he gets alot of fame and all but, i mean realy he deserves it. he has earned it through his hard work and dedication who are we to criticize him? I LOVE YOU ORLANDO! <3
