Noel Gallagher: ‘Modern Hip-Hop Is Rubbish’
Mr. Gallagher Snr. is busy being amusing again.
If only the monobrowed pub-rocker would put a tenth of the energy he puts into ranting and raving into actually writing some passable songs, his band might not sound the way they do – i.e. like the ‘Special school’ stage at a Who Tribute Band convention.
Noel apparently didn’t just grow up slavishly listening to The Beatles, though. According to his most recent outburst, he was actually a bit of a hip-hop fan.
Back when it all "meant something," that is.
In a spectacular bout of grumpiness, Gallagher (CDs) rounded on the new breed of rappers by claiming:
"What’s masquerading itself as hip-hop-slash-R&B is fucking horrible. These guys will go on the telly going: ‘Hey kids, stay in school, don’t do drugs,’ and then they’ll be shooting each other down at the shopping mall. The disregard for women, stuff like that, I find it quite sickening. And the clothes they wear, and it’s all about ‘me, me, me,’ and ‘I wanna fuck you up…’ Give it a rest you bunch of idiots."
Buck-toothed mediocrity-beacon 50 Cent was unable to comment, as he was off doing a Reebok commercial somewhere. We expect.

Amen Noel! The fact that anybody could even dispute this nuts!
He’s definitely not a racist. He just stated that he didn’t think that hip hop should be played at what has traditionally been a rock festival. He never mentioned anything about race. Besides, Noel Gallagher is always saying stuff lol and his comment about the new breed of rappers is true!
Btw the title, "Modern Hip Hop is Rubbish" is Blur’s Modern Life is Rubbish.
