As a broad born in the 1980’s, I used to worship Madonna as a God and thought everything about her, her music, and her manipulation of the media was fucking brilliant, but nowadays it’s kind of like she’s just trying way too hard. I don’t find her innovative anymore, now she’s like someone’s weird grandma trying really hard to stay young and hip and sexy with the kids.
Madonna has been saying controversial shit for years, but before she kind of always had a point. Now, it’s like she’s just saying shit for the sake of saying shit, like when she recently announced that Kanye West was the new, black Madonna, and that gay rights are way more advanced than women’s rights. Mhmm.
First, let’s start with her comments on Kanye. As if Kanye fucking West needed a bigger ego, Madonna decided to take his half chub to a full blown hard on by rubbing that ego so hard it’s about to ejaculate over all of our faces. Madonna said:
Kanye is the new Madonna. Kanye is the black Madonna…We’re comrades in the envelope-pushing genre.
These days Madonna considers “envelope-pushing” to be wearing a diamond grill and captioning her Instagram photos like Miley Cyrus does (so basically like a 12-year-old with a severe learning disability) all while being in her mid-50’s. So, I mean, maybe by her standards these days Kanye is an envelope pusher. I mean, Kanye, much like Madonna, has toned down doing really controversial shit and instead just says random dumb shit sometimes. Dude didn’t even fully go on stage at the Grammy’s when Beck won! That’s not the jackass Kanye I know and love.
Anyway, after she was done tonguing Kanye’s asshole (Kim needed a break to take some selfies), Madonna spewed this shit about gay rights and women’s rights:
Gay rights are way more advanced than women’s rights. People are a lot more open-minded to the gay community than they are to women, period. It’s moved along for the gay community, for the African-American community, but women are still just trading on their ass. To me, the last great frontier is women.
Women are still the most marginalized group. They’re still the group that people won’t let change. [To be a successful woman,] you must fit into this box: You must behave this way, dress this way.
Listen, I’m a straight up feminist and 100% admit that women’s rights have a long fucking way to go, so in that sense I totally agree with Madonna. However, as a straight white woman, I don’t think she should really be coming down on gay and black rights, saying their struggle isn’t as bad as women’s. To me, it seems like for every bullshit rape culture case you see in the news, you’ll also see a story about a black person being murdered (usually by a white cop these days), or a gay kid committing suicide over being bullied or outted. And, sadly, it seems like none of the women, African-Americans, or LGBTQ people in these situations gets much (if any) justice. So, calm the fuck down Madonna, because we’re all doing kind of shitty.
Like I said, I used to really love Madonna, but these days I basically give her 4.5 eye rolls out of 5.

I feel the same way. Recently, she claimed to have been raped 30+ years ago when she was 20, but did not file a police report or tell anyone. I guess being raped is the “in” thing now, so she has to have a rape story too. That is sad and it’s sad how desperately she wants to be 20 again. She has turned into a cliche.
