When news broke that Cleveland from Family Guy was getting a spin off show, it caused a flurry of reactions.
Some thought that the idea would suck donkey balls whilst others embraced the decision to make Seth McFarlane a little bit richer.
After months of speculation about this project ever seeing the light of day, a trailer has popped up for us to laugh at or complain about. Do we have the promo embedded in this story? Of course we do, and after the jump you\’ll be able to watch it! That's unless you've probably already seen it somewhere else.
Of course, the trailer wouldn't be complete with something semi-offensive for people to complain about. Hooray for comedy racism but it’ll no doubt shake the leaves of people who have been removed of a sense of humour.
Using our rubbish powers of observation, not having much information to go on other then this trailer and without cheating via looking things up on Wikipedia we have concluded that:
* Cleveland leaves Farmington, will realise it’s shit and then probably come back. Though this might not happen until people complain the spin-off is rubbish and affects the main show.
* A talking bear won't bother anyone into thinking things are slightly surreal.
* The fat child will already have pages of abusive jokes written about him.
* It's quite likely they?ll be no explanation as to who Cleveland?s new family is.
* The Cleveland Brown show won't be as popular as Family Guy.
* Quagmire will try and shag the teenage daughter that Cleveland is living with at some point.
* There?ll be a giant chicken fight at some point.
However, we do notice something strange at the very end of the trailer. we're told that the series isn’t going to premire until ‘this fall’. Are our American chums being cruel and waiting for some high powered Fox executive to fall over before showing it? Who do they want to fall over? Why are we so confused? The creators of the show are quite literally holding us to ransom until we wait for someone to trip up or fall over.
Shocking.

I can’t believe they’re axing King of the Hill for this.

Sorry to be a grammar Nazi, but your last bullet point should actually be “There’ll be…”
‘They’ll’ is a contraction of “they will”, which doesn’t make sense in the context of the sentence. Sorry, but I just can’t let things like that go! I know, I have problems.

You’re right, I’m not sorry. And for your lack of capitalisation at the beginning of sentences you will be first in front of the firing squad come the revolution.

King of the Hill is one of my favorite shows, I am well aware that it’s had a good, long run, and that it’s not really a big of a deal that it’s not being green lighted after so many seasons. I rather it be stopped before it turns into The Simpsons, where everyone wants it to just end, but no one’s holding their breath. But seriously, why in the holy mother of God is it being replaced by another Seth Macfarlane production. Family Guy is a funny show, some jokes are hit and miss; and the same goes with recent episodes; they’re just not as funny as they use to be, sure maybe a funny moment here and there. And American Dad is fine, but why the hell can’t FOX and Seth Macfarlane just be happy with these 2 series on the same channel, same night. Take this into consideration: in the 2 hour time slot of FOX’s 3/4s of it (1hour30mins) are Seth Macfarlane shows, the only one that isn’t is The Simpsons, which has been running on its last leg for a long time; how much longer could it possibly last? And if and when it kicks the bucket do you think Seth Macfarlane will fill it with another generic, carbon copy of Family Guy? Family Guy humor is funny, sure, but I don’t want 3 different series running all at the same time with the same humor, same animation, same voice talent. Family Guy is already rehashing jokes, I can picture the 11th season of Family Guy in the near future. How original do you think it’ll be after so many seasons, while there are 2 other shows playing back to back of it using all the same elements that has made Family Guy such a success in the first place? This shit is wearing thin on me, and I’m sure the Cleveland Brown Show will do great, all the Family Guy fanboys will eat it up. I wonder if anything but money and ratings went through FOX’s and Seth’s head during these choices. Well that’s my two large cents, hope you enjoyed my bitching.
