In Japan, it’s pretty frowned upon to commit suicide. So what can they do when faced with the unswerving self loathing that is brought about by meeting Linkin Park?
You can wish that the (awful, awful, awful) tsunami and earthquake combo had actually killed everyone in the country!
And what were Linkin Park doing in the land of the rising sun? They were bothering school children because they’re heartless monsters!
Linkin Park heartlessly visited schools in Japan to raise awareness of the ongoing recovery efforts following the earthquake and Tsunami in March.
Of course, going to the country where two giant natural disasters hit and reminding them about it is a little stupid, right?
Clinker Park are, naturally, big fans of Japan, going as far as designing a t-shirt for the Music for Relief organisation. That’s right! They designed a piece of clothing! That’s proper caring!
Bandmembers/wastes of space Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda and Dave Farrell visited Taizen Elementary School put hoods on and do their best impression of being ‘moved’ by the whole thing while wringing their hands for good measure.
Shinoda says: “It was incredible to see firsthand the happiness in the students’ faces, despite the hardships they have endured for the past six months.”
The kind of happiness shown by someone who has decided that they’d rather die than live, like a suicidist.
And to think how upset we were when the tsunami hit Japan. How heartless we’ve grown.
