Kourtney Kardashian is probably headed for a libel-related lawsuit, with the Photoshop happy people at OK! magazine.
The reality star is accusing the publication of letting loose the airbrushing equivalent of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, all over her boat race.
Kourtney has been having a weeks-long love affair with the good folks at Life & Style magazine. For those of you who haven’t heard of them before, they would be the celebrity baby-crazies who aren’t People magazine.
The former has been stuck to the reality star, and her baby Mason Dash Disick like stink on stink since the little blighter was born. Her very first exclusive cover and interview was done with Life & Style. The relationship was so close it even sponsored Kourtney’s horrendous baby shower.
The business relationship is probably paying enough to keep baby son Mason in clean nappies, until such time as he would only be wearing them for their comedy value (say, age 16). So you can imagine Kourtney’s surprise to see another publication claim it had climbed inside her head and scooped out all her secret baby-related thoughts.
The latest cover of OK! magazine purports to have an exclusive with the new mother. It says as much on the cover, alongside an oddly Photoshopped image of mother and baby, and it also claims to have exclusive quotes. To clarify, no such exclusive shoot of any kind or sit down interview ever took place. The whole feature from OK! is the magazine equivalent of making a toy robot, using only loo roll tubes and sticky-back plastic.
We took it upon ourselves to kill 10 minutes by sellotaping together a bunch of recycled quotes and photos. We aren’t going to show you, nosy, as it looks nothing like the horror OK! pulled together.
Despite knowing that ample-bottomed sister Kim Kardashian got in legal trouble after sending out an allegedly libellous tweet, Kourtney still called out the fakers at OK!
She, unlike we, was clever enough not to name names… but everyone knows who she’s talking about: Kourtney Tweeted:
“One of those weeklies got it wrong again'they didn’t have an exclusive with me. And I gained 40 pounds while pregs, not 26…But thanks!”
In addition to concocting quotes from Kourtney, her friends, and her stepfather Bruce Jenner, Kourtney tells Women’s Wear Daily:
“They doctored and Photoshopped my body to make it look like I have already lost all the weight, which I have not.”
This was a guest post by Amy Grindhouse, who is just peachy.
