I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here is entering it’s final stages; and after the tantrums, injuries, playacting and constant moaning our thoughts turn to the betting odds of the potential winner.
After last night’s cop-out of an elimination, there are only seven celebrities left in the jungle, and only one of them can win. Whoever manages to hold on until the end of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here can look forward to instant career reinvigoration – they’ll be presenting those crappy competition films on GMTV in no time.
Here are the latest betting odds to win I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, with help from SportingOdds.com…
Antony Costa – Oh, the expectations that Antony Costa must have had
as he signed up for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. "I’m that
cheeky lovable lad from Blue! I’ve got millions of fans!" he must have
thought. And then he went into the jungle, mumbled a bunch of
incomprehensible half-sentences, kicked a tree, freaked out while
singing a song and then got embarrassingly drunk. And it just reinforced
what everyone was already thinking – he was the rubbish one from Blue.
Current odds – 100/1
Bobby Ball – Deep down, we all watch I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of
Here to see famous people prove that their entire stage persona is a
sham. And in that sense, Bobby Ball has given us the greatest gift of
all – he isn’t anything the like the hilariously cheeky man he appeared
to be. In fact, he’s a lazy, petulant, dead-eyed, over-sensitive, bone
idle git. And, with the other half of his double-act not around, he’s
realised that he has no normal social skills whatsoever. Not a
front-runner, that’s for sure. Current odds – 50/1
Jenny Frost – Jenny Frost has also changed since the start of I’m A
Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. She’s changed from the mouthy one from
Atomic Kitten into a robot with a thousand-yard stare. She completed
her Bushtucker Trial the other night with such a lack of emotion that
we’re not actually entirely sure she’s human anymore. We’re going to
lobby the producers to send Steve Guttenburg into the jungle so that he
can do the test he did at the end of Short Circuit to see if Johnny 5
was a robot or not on Jenny. Will she win? Unlikely. Current odds – 33/1
Sheree Murphy – Up until recently, Sheree was a favourite to win I’m
A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. But people are beginning to twig that
she might only be crying and shaking all the time in order to draw
attention to herself. And also, imagine living with her. "Aargh,
there’s a spider on the floor!" "Aargh, there’s an ant in the curtain!"
"Look at me look at me look at meeeeeeeee!" It’d be a flipping nightmare. And now the betting odds are
turning against her. Current odds – 8/1
Sid Owen – Sid is also dropping down the popularity scale. And it’s
a shame, because he’s just started getting interesting – he’s fallen in
love with the Swedish girl who does the Bushtucker Trial interviews.
The longer he stays in the camp, the more sexually frustrated he’ll
get. Keep him in there long enough and he’ll start humping Jimmy
Osmond‘s leg. And that’s something we’d pay to see. Current odds – 4/1
Jimmy Osmond – Jimmy Osmond faces every obstacle with such
unflappable pleasantness that we’re certain that all the stress is
going to prove too much for him in the near future. He’s going to have
a full-on batshit wibbling freakout with a machete before long.
Depending on who he takes out, it’ll either affect his odds in a
positive or negative way. Right now he’s second-favourite to win.
Current odds – 7/2
Carol Thatcher – Carol Thatcher has shown herself to be a hugely
popular contestant on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, because she
hasn’t changed a jot since day one. Back then she was oblivious to
every single thing around her. And at this moment in time, she’s just
as brilliantly oblivious as she ever was. If a crocodile ate her alive,
you’d imagine she’d give the rotter a bloody good ticking off while
trapped inside it’s guts. Current odds – 8/11
