Back to Albert Square, for more spoilers. Coming up: single white female involving well, a single black female, tit for tat bitching between Janine and Bianca, Jane goes all Kill Bill and the nine millionth tedious storyline involving Sam Mitchell.
Mental Becca has been hiding Stacey‘s phone and deleting voicemails etc, lying and generally being a bitch. This continues as Becca suggests Stacey stops taking her pills, so she can have some fun and not stay on her medication like a robot. Later, Becca tells Denise that Stacey doesn’t want Jean anywhere near Lily and claims that all of Stacey’s problems go back to her mum (well, don't they?). After sorting the stock, Stacey is angry that the accounts haven’t been recorded properly, but Becca blames Jean for this, who walks out. Then Denise has a go at Jean in the minute mart, presumably for wasting all her money buying dinner in a tiny corner shop and not a proper supermarket like real people do.
Becca’s control over Stacey grows when Stacey agrees to consider getting a flat with her. There's an awkward tug of love between mental Jean, Stacey?s mum, and Mental Becca her mate. Both mentalists give the other a ticking off, and Becca reveals a big secret, but can Jean reveal it back to Stacey without driving her mad again? Becca tells Jean that Stacey is hers now, and that Jean should stay away?
Ricky receives a text from Sam and goes to see her at the hospital, lying to Bianca. There, Minty warns Ricky that he will regret it if he decides to leave Bianca for Sam, as he obviously wants her for himself. Sam is overjoyed to see Ricky and says she can’t bear throwing away all their history and wants her baby to grow up with a dad. When he returns to Pat‘s, Ricky takes the kids out to Kim‘s caravan and reads them a story. Later, as Ricky and Bianca have a private moment in the caravan (the one in the middle of the square), Bianca locks the door and removes her clothes (take a minute to let your stomach settle).
Jane asks for Denise’s help in her plan to run off with Ian‘s money; but is furious when Denise sticks up for Ian and appears reluctant to get involved.
Minty watches on disapprovingly as Bianca and Ricky kiss passionately outside the caravan at the Arches, upset that Sam prefers Ricky to him, he advises Ricky to tell Bianca everything. However, when Ricky tries his best to do so at lunchtime, Bianca doesn’t let him get a word in edgeways ? what a surprise. Just run, Ricky, run ? away from both screeching harpies.
Later, Minty is angry when he realises Ricky hasn’t told Bianca. Bianca arrives home from her shift to a flustered Carol and Lewis making their way downstairs (from sex!), and winds craggy faced old Carol up about it. Ricky turns up at the hospital and probes Sam (not literally, that would be hideous, just on who the dad is) Peggy then arrives and Sam shouts, saying she should leave. Everything gets very dramatic and Sam feels faint, shouting that the baby is coming ? who would have thought?
Jane continues to plot to screw Ian over, and tells him she doesn't want to adopt but wants to blow the money on a holiday. Can Jane really be evil? Just doesn't sound right.
Ricky arrives at the hospital, where Sam is still in labour, but she tells him to leave. But he's too thick to understand her so takes her hand as she screams through the pain. When Minty enters the delivery room, Ricky and Sam are oblivious to his presence (a feeling everyone has) and so he decides to leave. Sam soon admits to Ricky that she is not sure who the father is and cries that she just wants her mum (to be the dad? Weird). Ricky goes to the pub to get Peggy, telling her that Sam is in labour, which Pat and Janine overhear. A spiteful Janine then takes great pleasure in telling Bianca that Ricky spent the morning with Sam while she was in labour with his baby, leaving Bianca dumbfounded. Meanwhile, Ronnie – who has also heard the news (how loud is everyone talking?) – worriedly tells Jack.
Sam eventually gives birth to a boy. Peggy‘s heart melts when she holds the baby, while Ricky’s face lights up when he sees him. Jack is also given an opportunity to hold the baby and, when he does so, a radiant smile spreads across his face ? this is obviously a cute baby. Thank God Peter Andre wasn?t there is all I can say, he would have flooded the whole hospital with his tears. The major shock then arrives when Sam announces that she is having her baby adopted?
Janine invites all her friends to her wedding, e.g just Whitney and Ricky. But Pat offers to give her dress a nip and tuck (it's her that needs it, not the dress). Janine is surprised by the gesture, and after Pat has made the alterations, tells her that she “wouldn’t mind” if she came to the wedding – so Pat agrees to go, easily flattered as she must be.
When Becca asks Stacey about when they should get their flat, Stacey says she wants to wait. Jean then approaches the pair and suggests that Stacey should attend a ‘young mums’ group at the community centre. Later on, in the Slaters’ house, Becca confronts Jean about her ploy to replace Becca in Stacey’s life with other women. She then informs Jean that she and Stacey are going to get a place together.
Jean confronts Stacey about the flat and informs her that it was Becca who called the police on the night of Bradley’s death. Becca initially denies this, but then confesses that she did so for the sake of herself, Stacey and the baby. An argument ensues, and Becca throws Bradley’s ashes at Stacey. The urn hits the wall and breaks, covering Stacey in the ashes ? at least the trauma should stop her ever taking up smoking. On Jean’s order, Becca packs her bags and leaves the house ? I'm sure she won't now be lurking around the square mentally, with murder in mind.
At the hospital, Peggy tries unsuccessfully to encourage Sam to change her mind about the adoption of her newborn baby. Sam explains that she made the decision months ago and orders Peggy to leave. When she returns home, Pat consoles her old frenemey, and she returns to the hospital for one last chance at keeping him in the family ? like that's what he needs…
