Dating Harry Styles, modeling for Marc Jacobs, posing for Vogue, sitting with Anna Wintour at London Fashion Week; however, insiders are saying that Kendall has to do one important thing if she’s going to make it in the modeling world: quit Keeping Up With The Kardashians. A duh!
Kendall has been featured on the show for all nine seasons, and, let’s be real, it helped make her a household name, but let’s also be real: how many high fashion supermodels also star on cheesy reality TV shows about their family? I’ve always said that Kendall’s last name would hold her back in the world of high fashion, and apparently high fashion agrees.
Kendall has made a pretty big splash as of late in the fashion world, here she is hanging out with Cara Delevingne and one of those models who appeared in Beyoncé’s “Yonce” video, which basically proves she’s totally in the fashion world as long as she backs off from reality tv.
Of course, it’s not just being associated with the Kardashians that would possibly prevent her from being taken seriously, it’s also the fact that filming the show could interfere with her blossoming modeling career. A source says:
Kendall has been told by several high-profile fashion photographers that she definitely has a future in modeling. However, she was advised that continuing to appear on reality television will diminish interest in her as a model. The problem also is scheduling. Kendall is contractually obligated to appear on the show and there is a huge time commitment involved. In the past, she has had to pass on modeling shoots because shooting for the television show takes precedence.
Hmmm, which would you rather? Appear on KUWTK or model in major fashion shows, in major fashion magazines, and sit front row at fashion week with Anna Wintour and Kate Moss?
I think there is only one answer to that: modeling DUH
