Nadine Coyle – the one who thinks she’s the best singer in Girls Aloud -? has announced the release of her debut single and album. And we have a video to show you so you can listen to the music with your ears.
Nadine has long fallen foul of the thinking that she’s the talent in Girls Aloud. One singer in every girlgroup is picked out as being ‘the voice’. The Saturdays have one. Mel C was the Spice Girl with The Voice. After all these years, no-one really cares because pop music is at its best when it is greater than the sum of its parts.
That’s not stopped Nadine from going it alone for a while (the third GA member to do so), setting up her own little cottage industry with her very own label, Black Pen Records, which will release her album ‘Insatiable’.
For some peculiar reason, you won’t be able to buy Nadine’s LP in any ol’ shop. In fact, you’ll only be able to buy it from Tesco (from November 8th). She obviously equates her music with tins of Tesco Value stewing steak and boxes of dried marrowfat peas then.
Coyle sez:
“So much has changed in the way artists work now. I think we have learned that the traditional model for selling an album isn’t the only way of doing things.
“To be able to create an album where you are in complete control of your own work is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an artist.”
The new album will be lead by a single (with the same name as the long-player) which was co-written by Coyle and Robbie Williams’s former writing partner Guy Chambers. That’s out November 1st.
Here’s a video of the new song which somehow manages to sound both massive AND underwhelming. We’re sure you’ll have fun listening to it and trying to decide which ten songs it kinda sounds like without ever really coming up with an answer to which song certain melodies remind you of.
Anyway, here it is.

Erm….. thats cos she is the best singer from Girls Aloud. Cheryl cole sounds like a strangled cat and the others wannabe soul divas. God knows what the red haired one ever does! Nadine had the talent and still does from the get go. I remember when they were all flung together and she was by far the better singer.
Can’t stand the others voices, there’s no depth and live they (esp Cheryl) sound like they’ve just had a colonic!
Word to The Coyle!!! whoop whoop!

she is by far the best singer and has the most star quality of the Girls in Girls Aloud and she didnt need a load of surgery and teeth jobs to look that good either.
Saw a concert of them recently and for all the hype and fame about Cheryl Cole it was still not possible to put her centre in the group and give her the key lines to sing and that says it all.
Insatiable is brill and she is so brave to have her own label at her age. Never could have imagined her putting up with that leery Simon Cowell to get ahead.

Good on Nadine! she is showing the world what she is made of. It’s time for her to shine. She’s been in the shadows of Cheryl which she need not be, as she has the ‘voice’ and the confidence to be in her rightful place as a singer/songwriter. When Cheryl made her return to the X factor as solo artist, it was a complete shambles and she really struggled to do it, admitting how scared she was and vocally being asisited on the night because of terrible nerves. Cheryl’s been aided by other really talented musicians to help her create her music, because she doesnt really have any real built in musical passion/substance. She is very attractive but it takes more than that and unfortunatley she will find this out. Cheryl’s been helped up by some in the music industry that would not normally do for others. It’s time Cheryl learnt how to do things by herself and not rely on any more taking the easy route to music.
