In case you’re not familiar with Balmain, it’s a high fashion line worn by fancy rich bitches all over the world. The head of the Balmain fashion house is Olivier Rousteing, a man whose head is so far up the collective assholes of the Kardashian/Jenner clan that he basically breathes cheek fillers.
Aside from being inseparable besties with the whole crew, it also seems to be Olivier’s goal to feature all of them in Balmain ads. Last year he released a campaign starring Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, and yesterday he unveiled the above ad starring Kylie and Kendall Jenner.
Now, don’t get me wrong, Kendall Jenner is legit one of my favorite models on the planet right now. That bitch BRINGS IT:
And this new Balmain ad with her and Kylie is actually kind of fire. I mean, it’s kind of creepy how an ad featuring two sisters is steamier than the ads featuring Kim and Kanye, however, that’s not surprising. Kendall and Kylie are sexy young women, while Kim has had one too many nose jobs and facial fillers to emote genuine feeling, and, well, we all know Kanye doesn’t show any emotion whatsoever because it’s bad for his rep. So technically this ad could’ve starred Gonzo the Great and his chicken bride, Camilla, and it would’ve had more fire than the Kimye ad.
However, Balmain has basically become to fashion lines what The LOVE Magazine is to expensive magazines: a glorified platform for Kris Jenner and her spawn. You can’t open that damn magazine without one of them being there (sometimes it’s even Kris, herself), and soon there won’t be a Balmain ad without at least one Kardashian/Jenner lurking in the background.
$100 says North West stars in the next ad for Balmain kids. I don’t know that Balmain kids is a real thing, but with Kimye’s second baby on the way I have a feeling it’s about to be.
Anyway, if high fashion houses are going to keep putting reality stars in their ads, I look forward to Chanel doing a campaign featuring all 19 Duggar kids.

Oh gosh. I’ve just come across your blog. It is gold! You really speak your mind. I’m amazed by how nobody has called out Balmain for Rousteing’s latest missteps. He did an amazing job the first few years but today’s Balmain it’s just…He has completely bastardized the label. First that Rihanna campaign, I love Rih but the campaign and the clothes were awful, then, that atrocious Kim/Kanye campaign and now this. This a true downgrade for a historical house like Balmain.
The thirst of this family is incredible. Kanye’s stupid need of validation by the fashion industry has no boundaries. Next, he will persuade Tisci to make them the face of Givenchy and claim icon status.
