Michael Jackson fans have seemingly made their minds up about Michael Jackson’s death. They’ve done their wikipedia research, read some articles and decided that Conrad Murray should be flogged in some way. For the first time, they’re all agreeing with Michael’s dad, Joe. There’s a turn up for the books.
Joe Jackson’s put through a lawsuit, based mainly on the fact that he won’t be getting a cent after Michael’s death. Chances are, if he doesn’t get some money, then he’s going to bully Michael’s ghost and spend entire afternoons punching the ground where his cadaver lies.
Meanwhile, Dr. Conrad Murray would really like it if everyone didn’t hold him responsible for Michael Jackson’s death. There’s a surprise.
Murray’s attorney has slated Joe’s lawsuit, calling it:
“at best a press-release that is intended to prejudice and inflame the jury pool and the public.”
Murray is, of course, facing an involuntary manslaughter charge for administering the potent anaesthetic that ultimately caused Jackson’s death on June 25, 2009.
This trial doesn’t even stand the slightest chance of being even-handed or fair either. There’s no way that the jury won’t be influenced one way or the other by the hordes of screaming Michael Jackson fans that seem to be on hand to stand with placards outside every single courthouse that so much as whispers the singer’s name.
Dr. Murray’s team want Joe’s suit to be dismissed because, to put it bluntly, he’s got fuck-all to do with this suit, by virtue of the fact that he’s not a legal beneficiary of his son’s estate. Jacko’s mum, Katherine “wants nothing to do with this case.”
That’s because she’s too busy suing concert promoter AEG, claiming it did not give her son proper medical care. AEG has yet to comment on the action, which will no-doubt make fans of the singer shout “YOU SOUND GUILTY TO ME!” at the night sky.
“The purpose of this lawsuit is to prove to the world the truth about what happened to Michael Jackson, once and for all,” Katherine Jackson’s lawyer said in a statement.
Anyway, back to Joe.
Murray’s motion also questions why Joe didn’t name Jackson’s longtime plastic surgeon, Dr. Andrew Klein, as a defendant, when his suit clearly states:
“Dr. Klein may have been medicating Michael Jackson up until or even beyond June 18, 2009, less than one week before Michael Jackson’s death.”
Whatever happens, we’re absolutely guaranteed at least three more candlelit vigils from mental Michael fans, all singing ‘Heal The World’, ‘You Are Not Alone’ and… oh… probably something really powerful and moving like ‘The Girl Is Mine’
Poor ol’ Michael Jackson. What did he ever do to deserve such weird fans and stupid associates?

What the hell’s going on? Has Stu “The Pied Piper” Heritage lured all the hordes of irate Michael Jackson fans over to the Guardian with him? The silence is driving me mad!
