Two of America’s hottest actors, Jared Leto and Matthew McConaughey, look virtually unrecognizable in photographs taken?on the New Orleans set of their new movie, The Dallas Buyer’s Club. Jared looks?rough, though strangely alluring,?as an 80s-era crossdresser, and Matthew’s emaciated frame is made even creepier by jet black hair and?a?John Holmes mustache.
The movie, set in the 1980s and loosely based on a true story, tells the story of?a man named Ron Woodruff, played by Matthew,?who is struggling through the late stages of HIV/AIDS (hence his painfully scrawny body). Jared’s character, Rayon, is also?an AIDS patient who helps Ron smuggle drugs in from Mexico. Not the fun drugs you usually think about being smuggled into the U.S. from Mexico, but illegal anti-viral medications.
At that time, the only drug approved in the U.S. for use in the treatment of AIDS was largely ineffective. Ron and Rayon?smuggle illegal but more effective drug cocktails into the country. Looking like hell in the process.
It’s not?a big?shock to see 30 Seconds to Mars frontman in full drag, since he tends to wear eyeliner and dress flamboyantly?anyway. With the puffy body-waved wig, he?actually looks a bit like Louise Mandrell as a crack whore.
Matthew, on the other hand, with his?extreme weight loss and creepy mustache,?looks like?his infamous Dazed and Confused character,?Wooderson, might look after?progressing?from pot to heroin. Apparently, Matthew has lost 38 pounds and he looks like he’s about to drop dead … which is?the look he’s going for I suppose. It’s hard to look at him?in this condition and I feel badly for his wife. To rid my mind of the image, I will eat a pizza and watch Magic Mike. Seriously, poor Camilla.
Sue says
See, I’m telling you, Magic Mike does a body good
And I like the Louis Mandrell reference
Dd she actually become a crack whore? Where did she go?
