Jane Birkin was a starlet back in her day. Although Britsh-born, she spent most of her acting career in French cinema.
Her early career was spent in 1960s and 1970s counter-culture films (your grandma probably remembers that era). She was in some edgy films with edgy titles like Cannabis and Swinging London. She had begun her career in French cinema with Slogan. Since then, she had roles in big award winning French films like Je t’aime… moi non plus, and La Pirate.
One of her biggest claims to fame was her partial responsibility behind the Birkin bag. Jean-Louis Dumas had specifically designed the bag for her, and it eventually became a status symbol. Again, your grandmother probably remembers the Birkin Bag quite well.
To squeeze a little more fame out of her career, she is indirectly involved with multiple charity programs. She even boasts the fact that she has visited a few third world countries.
Here is Serge Gainsbourg et Jane Birkin singing the Frenchiest song ever, Je T’aime… Moi Non Plus.
Like fellow Frenchie Sophie Marceau, Jane Birkin is naked in more movies than she is non-naked. Put on a random Birkin film and you’ll have a very high chance of seeing her topless or completely naked.
Having said that, there are a couple of films which stand out. Ms. Don Juan is an obvious mention: simply because you’ll get to see Birkin and Brigitte Bardot fully naked on the same bed. Then there’s Je T’aime, moi non plus and Le Mouton Enrage for the full frontal bush baring scenes.
All the pictures are below. We’ve also included the Jane Birkin nude photo shoots in existence. There are hundreds of pictures for magazines like Lui and Playboy, among others.
