It started with a tsunami and ended with a flood.
Fat then skinny then fat then skinny then skinny actress Renee Zellweger and unknown to everyone but truckers singer Kenny Chesney are seeking an annulment to end their marriage.
The end to their marriage was as sudden as the beginning. Having met
at a tsunami benefit at the beginning of the year, Renee Zellweger (DVDs) and
Kenny Chesney had a whirlwind four month romance before marrying on a
Caribbean beach in May.
At the time, Chesney said:
"I am incredibly happy. I may well be the luckiest man alive. To be so in love with someone who is so perfect for me. It’s just hard to imagine that I’m not going to wake up."
Reports
last week speculated that Zellweger and Chesney had only spent 15 days
together since their wedding day. But that didn’t phase Renee. At the
recent British premiere for Cinderella Man, Renee said:
"I’m happily married, but I don’t talk about it because I want to keep my precious things precious."
And
now it’s over. Details are vague, apart from the fact that the reason
Zellweger gave for the annulment was the tantalisingly vague "fraud".
What does this mean? Did the pretend cowboy try and pull off some kind
of Lovejoy-style antique scam? Chances are we’ll never know.
Still, four months is longer than we could manage with someone who sings stuff like She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy.
