Nicollette Sheridan – the one out of Desperate Housewives that isn’t Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, the one that nearly won the Oscar or the ginger one – has got engaged to Michael Bolton. Whoopy-doo!

Someone warn Anita Dobson and Brian May – there’s a new stupid-haired kid on the block, in the form of Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton, and they’re up for the title of Dumbest Rock Star/ Actress Couple Haircuts.

We’re told that over the weekend, formerly awful-haired 1980’s Said
I Loved You… But I Lied crooner Michael Bolton (CDs) got engaged to fifth-most
famous Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan in the Bahamas,
putting an end to a courtship that has lasted – on and off – for years
and years.

Michael Bolton and Nicollette Sheridan had been dating for a years
back in the 1990s, when Michael Bolton a) still had the worst haircut
in the universe and b) was coining it in with filthy songs like Can I
Touch You There, and Nicollette Sheridan was a rising star on poopy
overdone boaty TV show Knots Landing.

But Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton parted ways, and they
both went off to do other things. Nicollette went off and became famous
on Desperate Housewives while getting engaged to Nicklas Soderblom,
while Michael decided to stop being famous any more. However, Bolton
and Sheridan rekindled their old love last year; probably after the couple realised
that they were both too old to dick around any more, and things took a turn
for the long-term. In January, Michael Bolton told the New York Daily
News that:

"Nicollette and I are very serious about each other. I am
very committed. It is a very special time in my life. I have a good
feeling about the future."

And now Nicollette Sheridan and Michael
Bolton are engaged. And, as non-fans of either Desperate Housewives or
any Michael Bolton song ever, we feel confident to say: Meh.
