Unlike Kris Jenner, who is totes on board with her pseudo-son Scott Disick throwing his dick to the barely legal Sofia Richie (who is she to judge? She played Regina George’s mom to an underage Kylie and Tyga for years), Lionel Richie isn’t quite as here for his daughter’s match up with the father-of-three.
In a recent interview with Australia’s Daily Telegraph, Lionel said he thinks Sofia’s relationship with Scott is just a “phase”, which is probably what Kris Jenner said about Kourtney and Scott’s relationship back in ’05. Oh Lionel. Oh, poor poor Lionel.
Lionel said of the romance between his 19-year-old daughter, who used to be BFF with Kylie Jenner, and Kylie Jenner’s older sister’s baby daddy Disick, who is 34:
It’s just a phase and I’m going to stand real still in the corner, get me a good drink and not make too much noise…She’s 19. When you’re 19, you know everything!
Ah yes, I remember those teenage phases well. I mean, who of us in our teen years hasn’t gone through that phase where we start eyeing our BFF’s 38-year-old sister’s alcoholic baby father and thinking: You know, I’d probably be a really good stepmom?
I mean, maybe in Hollywood that is considered a totally normal phase, but I kind of feel like Lionel might just be hoping for the best with this one, because that doesn’t seem like a real phase to me.
Things that actually ARE phases between the ages of 18-23:
- Getting a lower back tattoo
- Getting your tongue pierced
- Trying anal for the first time
- Doing jello shots every weekend
- Dating a guy in a shitty band
- Dating 12 guys named Brad
- Ayn Rand.
- The Dave Matthews Band.
- Wearing UGG boots.
- Captioning your selfies with Taylor Swift lyrics.
I think you get my point.
Then again, 17-year-old Kylie Jenner went through the phase where she started eyeing her 34-year-old sister’s BFF’s baby daddy and thought: You know, I’d probably be a really good stepmom. So, maybe this IS a really normal phase in Calabasas.
