I understand that the title of this blog might be a bit confusing given the fact that it could be the title of any number of blogs written about Kanye over the past 10 years since he always seems to be having some type of breakdown.
However, unlike most people who have breakdowns and either spend some time in hospital or barricade themselves in their homes for a while, Kanye West has literally been given a stage to put his breakdowns on display, which is exactly what he did at his Sacramento concert on Saturday.
At one of his concerts last week during his Saint Pablo Tour, Kanye told the audience that he didn’t vote, but if he HAD voted, he would have voted for Donald Trump, which is a stupid fucking thing to say. And no, I don’t mean it’s stupid to say he would have voted for Donald, I mean it’s stupid not to vote if you support someone, but Kanye West seems pretty stupid, sooo…
Anyway, after his late endorsement of Donald, he went on a weird rant about race, saying:
Specifically to black people, stop focusing on racism. This world is racist ok? Let’s stop being distracted to focus on that as much. It is just a expletive fact. We are in a racist country. Period.
He continued to talk about how Black people need to get over racism (a Colin Kaepernick he is not), which spawned a million memes and tweets reminding Kanye of the time he lashed out at then president Bush’s racism, stating:
Kanye West 2005: George Bush Doesn’t Care About Black People
Kanye West 2016: Kanye West Doesn’t Care About Black People
Amazing. Anyway, at his Saturday concert in Sacramento, Kanye continued his tirade, this time going after former BFFs Beyoncé and Jay Z, once again proving that friendship is probably dead. Kanye stopped his concert 4 songs in to start ranting about the couple:
Beyoncé, I was hurt. I went down seven years on behalf of you…I am putting my career, my life, my public standing at risk when I talk to y’all like this. This is a moment in the matrix, bro…Beyoncé, I was hurt because I hear that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and over ‘Hotline Bling.’ In my opinion…now don’t go dissing Beyoncé, she’s great. Taylor Swift is great. We are all great people. We are all equal. But sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forget who we are just to win. Jay Z, call me, bruh. You still ain’t called me. Jay Z, I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head.
I don’t know what’s going on with Kanye, but I never really know what’s going on with Kanye; he’s like the Shia LaBeouf of music. While he makes some good points about how Beyoncé and Taylor might play the game a little too hard, I still think he’s got his head a million miles up his own ass and gives himself way too much credit for being an artist and controversial and genius and shit. Like, ‘Fade’ is a good song, but your clothing like sucks and I think you should probably chill out before Jay Z actually does send someone after you.
Also, stop dissing people who are really good at playing the whole fame game. Look at your wife and the family you married into, you damn hypocrite!
