We all know I usually think Ariana Grande is a mega brat and I can’t stand her, but this year she let her human decency shine through in the wake of a terrorist attack at her concert in Manchester. On May 22, 2017, there was a massive terrorist attack at Grande’s concert which killed 22 people and injured 500.
After heading home to Florida to regroup, Ariana returned to Manchester a couple of weeks later to throw a massive benefit concert called One Love Manchester to help raise money for those effected by the terrorist attack.
The televised concert aired on June 4, 2017 and featured Grande (obviously), and other major artists such as Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, The Black-Eyed Peas, Coldplay, Niall Horan, Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, and Little Mix, just to name a few.
In the 12 hours following the concert, $13 million was raised for the British Red Cross.
Even though a good 90% of the shit I write about Ariana Grande is dissing her spoiled ass or comparing her to a Bratz doll, I will 100% give props where props are due and Ariana actually did a really good job handling this whole terrorist attack thing.
The world has become a remarkably scary place where it seems like you can’t go fucking ANYWHERE without your life being in danger. Concerts? Nope. Dance clubs? Nope. School? Nope. Church? Think again! It’s really easy to kind of just go inside and live in a world of fear that’s all consuming, and if I had any talent whatsoever and was a singer/performer who had to go through something so heinous happening at one of my concerts, I feel like I’d probably just have a total breakdown and never leave my house again for pretty much ever. So major props to the artists (because it’s not just Ariana) who suck up their own fears after this shit goes down and go out and do something positive for their fans and for the people effected.
This was somewhat sentimental, so you can expect Day 15 (which yes, IS today) to be savage af.
