Harry Potter fans around the world should prepare for their painfully sensitive hearts to be broken – it’s been revealed that Harry Potter is probably going to die in the next Harry Potter book.
How do we know that Harry Potter is going to die? Did JK Rowling come down to Earth on a cloud to tell us about Harry Potter’s death in our sleep? No. Did we send a special Harry Potter spy into Rowling’s fortress to have a sneaky look at the first draft manuscript of the seventh Harry Potter book? No. In fact, some bloke who used to be in the Carry On films has a bit of a feeling that Harry Potter might die.
And things don’t get any more concrete than that, folks.
Jim Dale played such hilariously memorable movie roles as Dr
Jim Kilmore in Carry On Doctor and Dr Jimmy Nookey in Carry On Again Doctor
- roles which put him in the expert position of being able to predict
exactly what will happen in future Harry Potter (Stuff) books.
OK, that’s a lie. Jim Dale is also the voice of the American Harry Potter
audiobook series – something which, we’ll grudgingly admit, could possibly give him
a bit of a headstart about Harry Potter’s future. This is especially true given that Jim often has
meetings with JK Rowling to discuss the characterisation of
the parts. And he let slip the following Harry Potter nugget:
"She’s lived with Harry Potter so long she really wants to kill him off."
So
that’s it – Harry Potter is going to die. Dale’s statement echoes
something that Daniel Radcliffe said while promoting the latest Harry
Potter movie, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire:
"It’s dangerous to say, ‘Daniel thinks Harry might die’. But I do
maintain there is a possibility he could be killed in the final book."
First
Dumbledore bites it, and now Harry Potter too? Note to self: It might
be a good time to start marketing wizardy tissues for Harry Potter fans to
blub into.
Predictably, JK Rowling isn’t confirming or denying any of these
rumours. However, she is said to have completed the last chapter of the
final Harry Potter book – and revealed that the very last word in the Harry
Potter series is "scar."
Does this mean that Harry Potter will die?
We’re not so sure – we have a possible sentence that could end the
final Harry Potter book in a nice way:
"And then, hiding underneath the invisibility cloak in the girl’s changing room, Harry Potter saw his first-ever hairy scar."

ah ha, the perfect change to tell everyone about the flaws of Harry Potter, and why, quite frankly, that they are only mediocre. First of all Rowling Plagerized “The Chosen One” Concept from Starwars. Also how could the climax always take place in the month of June. Thirdly Rowling tries to put humor into the books, but there is no funny content at all. Also Rowling’s villian “Voldemort” is just like any other classic villian from Super Hero Comics, he is just evil, and he kills people. In The book series A Series of Unfortuante Events the main villian is Count Olaf, and he is a way better villian than Voldemort, Besides being evil, he adds comic relief to the stories, plus Daniel Handler is much more descriptive in describing the evil Count. How can a wizard celbrate christmas? I mean what would that make Jesus. Also, what if there were jews going to Hogwarts, at Hogwarts if you stay there, they have a christmas celebration, but no Hanaka (That’s not spelled right) celebration. At certain points I find my self bored reading Harry Potter. I am so sick of j.K Rowling winning so many awards when there are so many other “Much Better” Books out there. Harry Potter and J.K Rowling are only mediocre, and that’s a compliment.
I love him, but if he dies, who cares? I mean like It’s not a majical fairy tail and that he’s gonna live forever!Or longer than we expected……
i love him so much and i would be so sad if he dies. i can’t wait to read book 7 and first i am going to go right at the end of the book and if harry dies i am going to through my book in the bean. so please please please don’t kill him j.k rowling please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think killing off Harry would be outradegous because i am one of Harry’s fans. And i think Cody is right u r an idiot, compearing Star wars with Harry Potter their not even alike.
I think Harry will die- but we will go with him and meet Dumbledore and Siruis again.
He’s already dead. Just like Paul. Though Paul was the Walrus. Perhaps Harry is the Canary? Maybe the Dingle-barry? Hairy Fairy? Very Scary Merry Mary? Anyway Harry must DIE. He must die so that we may LIVE! Ha-ha! We will eat his testicles and munch his anus. Then we too will fly.
Interesting comment, Gordon. How could you wish Harry to die? And calling him the Canary is terrible. R U crazy or something? Anyway, what are you doing up so late (4:57 am)? You should be asleep, thinking up better ways to amuse yourself than terrorizing Harry Potter forums. But then again, I guess you’ve proven that lack of sleep really does lead to anti-Christian thoughts. Jim Bakker was right.
Relax readers, Harry is NOT going to die. However, Rowling is LOVING the rumors going around that Harry MIGHT die, which is creating a deeper suspense for her book, which is going to cause every dum dum on the planet who is obsessed with Harry to go out and cause another record breaking sale within the first hour of its release. Not to mention, the happiness that will erupt when all these readers see that Harry lives! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I know what’s going to happen. But this is how it goes. One reader said that Rowling wont kill Harry because no one would read her future books. I don’t think Rowling really gives a crap if people read her possible future books or not, considering she is already pretty much the richest author of all time. Not to mention the recognition and acclaim she has received. The gist of it is, it would just be plain cruel for her to kill Harry at this point, having already gone through so much in his life, growing up in an environment where no one loved him, and later in life, pretty much losing every father figure he ever had. Rowling’s been repeating herself in past books, killing Harry’s father figure Sirious, and then with Dumbledore. I’d advise you all to expect the unexpected in her next book. And, fortunately enough, it is expected that Harry will die. Therefore, it’s just not going to happen. I expect an unlikely alliance in book 7, and, I have a feeling that the two characters who die will both be on the “dark side”, one being Voldemort himself. However, your non-Voldemort number two death will be, by the end of his life in the book, no longer hated among Harry and the gang of good guys. Can you say Half Blood Prince? Just a speculation, don’t take it too seriously. If it’s not Snape, it will most likely be Petunia, who is supposedly going to have an important role, or one of the Weasley kids. Like Ginny or Ron. However, I could be wrong in the extreme about all of this, I am only using my intuition and perception and observation of things. As for this thing about Harry being one of the horcruxes…. it’s only possibly if his SCAR and his scar ALONE is the horcrux. He’ll have to cut it off. Perhaps our Deathly Gallows movie of the future will have an R rating? And Harry can live happily ever after with his even huger no longer lightning shaped skin graft of a scar? Perhaps he can even live happily ever after with Hermione, who he realizes he’s completely in love with, only at the cost of Ron’s short winded jealousy, which will be quickly doused out by a liking that some beautiful mysterious and leggy blonde will be taking to him…. Another and last point I’d like to “point” (pun intended) out: The prophecy said… “neither can live while the other survives”. Well, as of right now, Voldemort survives, so does this in fact mean, that Harry is not really living? Will he wake from this state of not really living when he kills Voldemort and is finally able to carry on a normal, happy, wizard life?
i cant belive it. he cant die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am in love with him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!= >!!!!!!!!
the person that said Harry is going to die is a stupid head JK hasnt even said anything and Harry going through everthing for nothin now thats rubbish
look folks, the only part of this that was even relivant was the Jim Dale comment. that does worry me, but the rest dont mater. Rather their true or not, it dont make a differance. stupid writer.
For the sake of the reason the Harry must die.
Best wishes,
Lord Waldemot
if harry potter were to die it wouldn’t be the end of the world, BUT
i myself hope he doesn’t die cause after all he has bn threw
it would be a load of crap if he were to die.
I think he wont die cause even wot the facts say about him dying
i think he would have the power to stop that
I die. So it goes…
Die fu**** Potter dieeeeeeee!!!! stupid idot, please stupid JK kill that moron for the good of the peoples brains
Dear Aquiantinst,
First off if you do not like Harry Potter than do not read, watch or write things about him unless you know they are true. Like where you wrote about Prof. Trelawney and her “predictions” you said Dolores Umbridge gets attacked by the “horse people” they are not horse people they are Centors!!!! And one of them saves harrys life in the 1st book when Harry,Ron,Hermione and Draco Malfoy are serving detention in the Forbidden Forest with Hagrid (the kepper of keys and grounds at hogwarts).
And second if you have a problem with Hermione being smart and getting straight A’s and making the rest of us look bad and all that, then maybe you should study harder to be as smart as her. Also, I don’t give a RAT’S ASS if you hate perfect people, nobodys pefect except God and Jesus.
Third, A Series of Unfortuniate Events is not better than Harry Potter (no affense to Lemity Snicket) and if I spelled that wrong SORRY!
So what if Harry gets help, every-one needs it from time to time EVEN YOU AQUIANTIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That does not not mean he should die, do you hear someone say you should die every time you ask for help. No, I didn’t think so.
Voldemort hates, “Mud Bloods, oh my gosh I said a bad word, I deserve a time out and a spanking!†When you said that it sounds like you are making fun of Hermione (no offence hermione). Do not do that.
” Always remember, that a Series of Unfortunate Events is way better then Harry Potter!” NOT ONE BIT TRUE!!!!!
I am not trying to sound raciest ( I’m not that) and I do not want to affend anyone but just because a certain religion is not mentiound (spelled wrong) does not mean those people do not got to Hogwarts. They just might go home for the holidays or celebrate it some where at school.
Another thing, what is wrong with June? Thats when my birthday is. J.K. Rowling might use June because thats when we are usally out of school or maybe thats a special month to her. Who knows?
Something else, Harry did not get Sirius killed (or at least I do not think he did). He came on his own account to help Harry ( don’t say anything). And he does not put his friends in perial danger they choose to be there for Harry because thats what friends do for each other. I would die for my friends with out even hezitating.
Thanks for reading,
Michaela (H.P. fan FOREVER)
Dear Michaela.
Thank you, I had been waiting a long time for some one to respond to my comments, and or critize them. Firstly, I like Harry Potter, but there are so many better books out there and yet this series wins all of the awards. This series in like a monopoly on book awards. You stated that you liked the month of June, I do too, but the climax can’t always happen in June because it makes the story line too predictable, unrealistic, and boring. My point of Trewlany predicting Harry’s death has very valid proof, because she really isn’t a fraud. Please tell me why you like Harry Potter better than a Series Of Unfortuante Events. Thank you, and please respond.
I think that itwill be safe for J.K. to kill Harry Potter in the seventh book..if she is going to end the series because if she doesn’t….any writer can complete the series & I am not liking to read Harry Potter by any other wrier even Victor Hugo…..
I am not sad because Harry is going to die…no..I am sad because I will miss the series book & movies very much…..so I wish that J.K. continues the series with other hero or doesn’t kill Harry because
if the series ends..my life will end with it
please give me your 8 book
Do you think harry will get layed in this one coz i found an exelent copy of harry potter 7 & he sleeps with a healler girl called Julie just a cupple of years out of hogworts and if this version of the book is the full version then it ends half way through the story with one of harrys friends to rescue (wont say who) a hoacrx to find then voldamorts snake then finnaly voldamort and that halfs over 550 pages long which meens that if this that iv got is the full book theres gonna be an 8th which to be honist i want her to write
I just want to know….what is the reason that why are you going to end the series ? Wont you miss to be famous ….in the mind of every one reading one of the 7 books or watching the movies ..wont you miss the money that you make with every book ? so …I dont care who is going to die ..kill harry ..kill Ron or kill all the heros….but please dont end the series !!!!!!!!!
I hope Harry dies
OK, so you are obsessed. Right then.
Secondly….. why?
I am also waiting in great anticipation to see who dies.
It’s obviously going to be one of them…. I think!
I reckon it will be an unexpected ending because J.K. ROWLING is a great author, and with the whole world waiting for something interesting to happen, I doubt she will disappoint.
It pains me to think of all those books sitting on shelves just waiting to be read!
hehe (:
Harry the Horcrux then… hmm…… we don’t even know for sure if it’s true yet…. so there’s no point jumping to conclusions!
I do think that the nation has become a bit obsessed
I’m just waiting for the news headlines of all the geeky teenage boys killing themselves because this fantasy world is ‘the only world they can bear to live in’ lol
So yeah!
Byeeeee
xxxxxxxxx
Urgh.
These clingy-ass Potter fans piss me off.
He’s a FICTIONAL CHARACTER. He was born into a shitty situation, so why can’t he die from a shitty situation?
You’re not J.K. Rowling. You have no right to dictate what should or shouldn’t happen in the last book.
Well, I guess there’s gotta be SOME kind of line for believability… but Harry dying a tragic death is far from ridiculous.
Rowling herself said that the series is going to become progressively darker as it continues.
So how very anti-climactic (and a way to prove her point, really, for all the fucking six year olds that didn’t listen!) if Harry bit the dust in the end.
Personally, I think it’d be a fitting ending for Harry. “The Boy Who Lived” – does that kind of nickname really represent someone who’s probably going to live to a ripe old age of 972, sitting by a fire and drinking pumpkin juice or whatever the hell it is that they drink?
No.
Seems like a temporary state to me.
If all the little five and twelve year olds that will cry if they find out Harry or someone else beloved to them dies in the last book, I tell you: DON’T READ IT.
If you’re gonna let your six year olds read things with tragic deaths in them, either expect them to take it like a man, or learn that it’s fictional and doesn’t disturb the planetary balance.
So, to all the stupid mothers out there letting their kids read the last book, complaining “Wah Wah, Harry’s been around FOREVER, he CAN’T just DIE, How DARE you…” Guess what, lady? Everyone kicks the bucket. You will too, once that liver failure kicks in from all those martinis.
The last two movies, were rated PG-13 for a reason.
It’s not called “Teletubbies: The Free-for-All”.
Were you the ones storming the theater, demanding a refund from OOTP because your three year old who loves being read “Hawwie Pottah” on your knee everynight started to bawl once Harry got his SOUL sucked out on the ground?
Or Perhaps when dear old gruffy Sirius passed into the realm of the veil?
You people make me sick.
Go show your kids some zombie movies or something where they start playing with the intestines in their mouths and their eyes gouged out – that’ll drop their balls REAL quick.
If Harry lives, most of his fans will be happy. But then JK Rowling will just be fulfilling a commercial obligation. Is that what we all want from a bonafide writer?
Hagrid definitely dies. I see it like this, if you read the chapter in hagrids house with the slugworm it says about a clock being broken along the floor with the handle ripped out of it. This represents Dumbledore. The clock represents him dieing. Hagrid is ‘keeper of the keys’ yes? Well it says there is a piano with the keys pulled out, this in my opinion states Hagrid WILL die. I think his brother may play a larger part than you think in the seventh book.
I dont think he is going to die cause he is the main character and all books are supposed to havea happy ending (i think the two main characters that will die are dumbeldore and voldemort
HARRY IS NOT GOING TO DIE!
If he does then i am not watching no more movies and not going to be a big fan of him anymore.

JK will just ruin the movie.

He doesn’t die i have read the book. He is saying goodbye to someone at a train station and then disapears into the steam from the train leaving.
Dear HP fans and antifans.
Please stop this harrys-destiny-row. Let J. K. Rowling decide it. I’ve read the book, but im not gonna tell, it wold bring down the exitement. To the antifans, if you have nothing good to say, then say nothing. Its not very nice for the fans to read those “Harry is a fool and he deserves to die!!!” And of course Harry is a fictional character, but it doesent mean that JKR has not created an exeptional story.
XXX the Hp aholic
(so sorry my spelling, i am Danish)
Hi Leo the leopard!
You’ve raised some very good points there. You’re quite correct.
Except when you say “if you have nothing good to say, then say nothing”
I’m sure what you really meant was “if you have nothing good to say, then say it on Heckler Spray”
PS: If I see
“if you have nothing good to say, then say it on Heckler Spray”
used without my permission, I’ll do you HS hacks for plagiarism!
Dear JoelB
I am not going to use your wise words anyway,
im too busy (Reading Harry Potter, of course, 8-th time…) to use my computer very more than now.
To Sarah: well, im twelwe years old, i’ve read the book, and im not crying my eyes out?
Why the PAM do you think im not completely cracking unhappy?
To all the ones who are each trying to break through with their opinion: Just an advice:
Dont call people morons and idiots and so, youre drowning your own opinions behind the baaad words…
PLES dow not klill harry I waze crying for A day
dammit he lives on the end =)
I read the book..so..for all HP fans….dont worry..
all this talking about the destiny of harry wasn’t true…. I repeat…It wasn’ true…
in the 7th book….harry will grew up until he was 35 years old…he married jinnie wisley and had 3 kids who went to hogwortes….and ron married hermonie..and every one was happy after the death of the dark lord
