Here's another installment in our 2006 Eurovision Song Contest betting odds, where we look forward to the day when all of Europe comes together to laugh at Albania.
Today we're looking at two countries who have given the world several things, including our old Geography teacher and, um, probably loads of other stuff. Hooray for Eurovision!
Here are the latest Eurovision betting odds for Bulgaria and Croatia, with help from PaddyPower.com…
Bulgaria (pop. 7,537,929; a republic in the southeast of Europe) – Mariana Popova, Let Me Cry. We're not fans of when countries let pretty girls represent them in Eurovision. It's tacky, cynical and we're shallow enough to completely fall for it. Mariana Popova's previous hits sound like they come from The Greatest Hits Of Impotence, having titles like You Didn't Come and Let's Do It Again. Mariana has shed this weird fixation with Let Me Cry, her Eurovision entry, which goes, "Honey, honey, honey, honey, honey, honey, honey, honey please let me cry." Terrible lyrics, but she's pretty, so we hope she wins. Current Eurovision betting odds – 100/1
Croatia (pop. 4,496,869; a crescent-shaped country in Europe bordering the Mediterranean, Central Europe and the Balkans) – Severina, Moja Stikla. This is more like it – Severina is, of course, famous for having sex all over the internet in one of the most brilliant sex tapes we've ever seen. A genius ploy – kind of like the UK letting Abi Titmuss to represent them. Can Severina sing? We don't know – we've only seen her have sex with a man on the internet. But Severina's song – Moja Stikla (My High Heel) – is filthy: "Tick-tock 'round half past two/ You will nibble me, but no-one will see." No-one will see? Anyone with the internet has already seen, Severina! Current Eurovision betting odds – 20/1
We’ll be listing all the other Eurovision entries in the run-up to the contest. If you can’t wait, check out the Novelties section of Paddypower to see all the latest Eurovision betting odds. Don't forget that Paddypower give you a free £10 bet when you open an account with them. Good luck!
