Twenty-six year old single mother, Emily Maynard, first grabbed the spotlight during season 15 of The Bachelor as the lucky bitch chosen by?Bachelor Brad Womack. Oddly enough, the relationship didn’t last and Emily continued merrily on her quest for true love?as The Bachelorette in the series’?eighth season. Before the world could say Bullshit,?she was engaged to contestant/soulmate Jef Holm.
And the angels rejoiced. Then rumors begin to swirl about sexting and fake relationships … and does anyone really care??Did anyone truly believe that this shit was real? (I have to admit, I’ve never seen a single episode of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, but I did religiously follow VH1’s Rock of Love, all three seasons, even on the bus, so I think I still have a valid understanding of what’s happening.)
Poor Emily has gotten a lot of criticism, but it?must be a heady feeling to have 25 fame-hungry douchebags competing for your affection.?She has been criticized for things ranging from?her handling of the show, her inclusion of her daughter on the show,?her final choice, and her subsequent destruction of the world’s belief in true love … but I’m mostly interested in the criticisms of her appearance.
There has been broad speculation about cosmetic surgery of all kinds and it seems likely to be true, though?Emily herself has never verified it. She’s a bit too over-worked and beauty pageant for my taste, but Emily Maynard without makeup is actually very beautiful.
In the first photo?of Emily without makeup, she appears to be walking through the airport. Camoflauged with her baseball cap, she looks a bit shlubby, but not too bad. Without her usual vats of makeup, her face?looks very pretty and fresh.
The next photo of Emily is quite old and shows her with her first?fianc? and?father of her daughter, NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick, who passed away in 2004. To jump right past the emotional part of this photo and focus just on Emily’s appearance … she looks really lovely.
She was somewhat younger and not yet aged by her fianc?’s death, her daughter’s life, and her two failed television relationships. She’s still beautiful now, and it’s sad to look at that photo knowing what’s ahead for her, but she’s actually looks much better with less makeup.
