7th Heaven was one of those shows I watched religiously (pun intended), but never told anyone because I didn’t want to look like a total square. Stephen Collins played Eric Camden on the show, the lovable dad/happily married pastor with a heart of gold?who made everyone else’s dad look shitty. Sadly, as it turns out, Charlie Sheen might’ve been a better real life dad than Stephen Collins.
Collins, who ironically played?a super moral pastor who lectured kids about all sorts of shit (like pre-martial sex), allegedly admitted to his therapist that he molested 3 underage girls. A tape has been released (allegedly recorded by his ex-wife, who was present during the session) where Collins can be heard discussing how he did inappropriate shit with young girls (one was at least 14) between New York and California.
The actor’s estranged wife, Faye Grant, who made the recording, had some pretty nasty things to say about her child-loving?ex, saying he’s a pedophile with “a long history of sexually abusing minor children”, and also referring to him as?a “narcissistic sociopath” who used “his celebrity status to engender the trust of the families of the children he molested.”
Collins’ former 7th Heaven co-stars are starting to speak out and are claiming they’re super shocked because Collins was such a nice dude that everyone looked up to. Yeah, because pedophiles can’t seem like totally nice, normal, genuine people in their communities.
I mean, how dare Stephen Collins trick all these people into thinking he was a totally stand up, decent guy when he was secretly touching little girls?! Doesn’t he know all pedophiles are supposed to be totally obvious and wear rapist glasses, wear trench coats, and drive creepy vans?!
He was supposed to look like this:
Some real irony in all this, is that back in 2000, when a then 17-year-old Jessica Biel (who played his tv daughter, Mary) posed topless for “Gear” magazine, he came out against it, calling it “child pornography”:
She’s 17, a minor…and as such, Jessica’s photo spread was child pornography. I don’t want my kids to get the message that that’s okay.
The rules according to Stephen Collins: Posing topless at 17: Not okay. Exposing yourself to 14-year-olds: That’s fine. Go figure.
The really sad part about all of this, though, is that even though he’s admitted to doing this shit, the alleged abuse took place so long ago that the statue of limitations has more than likely come out and Collins will basically get in like zero legal trouble for this shit.
I doubt the girls he did this to are going to feel much better just because he got cut from Scandal.
