According to a headline on the Sky website, George Clooney has said "No Brad wedding."
Hopefully he didn’t say exactly that – if you can direct a film, you can use proper sentence structure, buddy – but you get the drift. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie won’t be getting married at his house, as some reports suggested.
Now that Jennifer Aniston (DVDs) has given her blessing (or at least smiled a few times during an Oprah interview – they’re both
basically the same thing), rumours are abound that Brad Pitt (DVDs) wants to
get married to Angelina Jolie as soon as possible. After all, she’s
recently moved out of her leafy UK countryside pad to be closer to him.
And where better to get married than at the Italian villa of George
Clooney (DVDs) – Brad’s co-star in Ocean’s Twelve? It’d be lovely – they could
have the ceremony by Lake Como surrounded by Jolie’s troop of adopted
kids and then listen to Nick Drake records while Ben Affleck gets
loaded up on free booze and falls down the stairs.
But no, it’s not to be. Clooney has nixed any rumour of anyone getting married at his gaff:
"Well,
I would know and I can tell you there’s not going to be a secret
wedding.
I’ve met Angelina – I like her very much – but I would never talk about
whether they are together or not… Brad and I have been friends
for a long time and we don’t talk about his relationships or his life,
so I learn mostly about things that are going on in his personal life
through magazines."
