For weeks, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher refused to confirm that they got married. And it was kind of nice – a celebrity couple that chose to keep their private lives to themselves for once. One of the most special moments of their lives, and it was just between the two of them.
Nuh-uh. Turns out they just didn’t want to blow the megabucks exclusive wedding photo-spread contract they’d signed with OK! magazine.
There were many rumours hurtling around about the wedding between
Ashton Kutcher (DVDs) and Demi Moore (DVDs), and they were mostly true. Some people
said that it was a traditional Kabbalah ceremony – it was. Some people
said that Bruce Willis and Lucy Liu were in the congregation – they
were. But nobody mentioned that Ashton Kutcher dressed up like Michael Jackson
in the Smooth Criminal video – he did.
OK! magazine are said to have paid around $3 million to Demi and Ashton for the wedding photos. It’s usually the case that big stars donate the fee to charity, but the couple have been keeping quiet about what they will do with the money. OK! editor-in-chief Sarah Ivens "can’t confirm how they spend their money."
Ivens also revealed that other flash wedding details
included the exchanging of Kabbalah rings, and the part of the ceremony
where Demi walked around Ashton seven times in a Kabbalah circle of
love. Those hilarious Kabbalah people – that’s not a wedding, it’s an
episode of It’s A Knockout.
