We're back with another set of Eurovision Song Contest 2006 betting odds for you. Two more singers, two more songs, 115 more instances of rhyming "fire" with "desire" over tacky Eurodisco music.
Betting on Eurovision is such an easy thing to do – it's simple and fun and it eases the pain of sitting through a million hours of watching singers bleat about how love is like a pair of wings over and over again. And that's got to be worth something, hasn't it?
Here are the latest Eurovision betting odds for Estonia and Finland, with help from PaddyPower.com…
Estonia (pop. 1,408,566; a country in northern Europe) – Sandra, Through My Window. Like a national football manager, it's frowned upon when a singer from one country represents a different country in Eurovision. This is the case with Estonia, who have a Swede singing for them by the name of Sandra. And it's shameless – with her giant blue eyes and blonde hair, Sandra genuinely couldn't look any more Swedish if she tried. Through My Window, Sandra's Eurovision song, is about a man who can cry rain. That's not a man, that's a cloud, you Swedish idiot. Current Eurovision betting odds – 33/1
Finland (pop. 5,211,311; a Nordic country in northern Europe) – Lordi, Hard Rock Hallelujah. Holy shitting bananas, what in the name of living Christ is this? Lordi are going to be one of the most memorable acts in this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Not because they're good, but because they're five, for want of a better word, demons with prosthetic faces and full body armour. Hard Rock Hallelujah, Lordi's Eurovision effort, apparently sounds like Twisted Sister, and – since it features the lyric "It’s the Arockalypse!" – we want Lordi to win. Current Eurovision betting odds – 22/1
We’ll be listing all the other Eurovision entries in the run-up to the contest. If you can’t wait, check out the Novelties section of Paddypower to see all the latest Eurovision betting odds. Don't forget that Paddypower give you a free £10 bet when you open an account with them. Good luck!
