What are you thinking about right now? Chances are that you’re not thinking about 50 Cent. And that makes 50 Cent very angry. 50 Cent wants you to only think about 50 Cent all the time always forever.
There’s already 50 Cent music for you to listen to, a 50 Cent movie to watch, a 50 Cent videogame to play and 50 Cent shoes to run around kicking tramps in. The world is so full of 50 Cent that we often have to go and read a book to forget about him. But 50 Cent has noticed this, and that’s why he’s launching G-Unit Books, so that he can publish all kinds of 50 Cent novels.
50 Cent (CDs), fresh from feeling a bit sorry for the family of the man
who got shot after watching his new film Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, has
teamed up with MTV and Pocket Books to launch G-Unit Books, a series of
fictional novellas and graphic novels that will depict the pretend
adventures of 50 Cent and his G-Unit posse. A bit like the Hulk Hogan
cartoon, but with words about rappers instead of moving pictures about
wrestlers.
It’s thought that the book deal comes after the success of the
summer’s 50 Cent autobiography From Pieces To Weight, which has sold 40,000 copies. The first G-Unit
book won’t be published until 2007, but is being written by Nikki
Turner – author of A Hustler’s Wife and The Glamorous Life.
Marc Gerald, 50 Cent’s agent, told E! Online:
"50’s always been a
voracious reader, whether street fiction by Donald Goines… or
business books, and he’s always felt like getting books out into the
community that reflect the lifestyle and also encourage people to read."
See?
By publishing books about guns, drug-dealing and all kinds of inner-city crime, 50
Cent’s helping the children of the world. He’s a nice man, really.
