The Rugby World Cup means that the X Factor live finals start next Saturday instead of tomorrow – which is upsetting news for anyone who prefers watching tenderly-sung power ballads to smash-faced English men beating up foreigners.
But at least now we know who the final 12 X Factor contestants are – which means we also know which of the contestants didn’t make it. Contestants like I Sette Cantanti, the group of about a million awkward Woolworths Saturday boys who all looked as if they’d been pushed into doing X Factor by their overbearing mothers when all they really wanted to do was go home and finish painting their Warhammer Skaven Deathmaster army. And to think Simon Cowell chose a group of attractive girls over them. The bastard.
Until next week’s live X Factor finals, we’ll be looking at each of the categories – so here are the X Factor betting odds for the 14 – 24 Females, with help from Paddy Power…
14 – 24s Female – But wait, isn’t Leona Lewis a 14 to 24-year-old woman? And didn’t she win X Factor last year, to go onto become the new Mariah Carey and the most famous woman on Earth? Um, that’s partly correct. Anyway, since X Factor has a history of producing strong girls in the 14-24 category, why are their betting odds so low this year? Well, not to put too fine a point on it, Sharon Osbourne is their mentor. And she couldn’t win X Factor if she was handed a net and a gun. Considering that half of the last six in Sharon’s group had such little personality that you could clump them all together and they’d still get outshone by a plank of damp wood, getting X Factor viewers to even remember them will also be an issue. But who are the X Factor 14-24 females this year? Well, there’s:
Alisha Bennett – a giant-haired woman with possibly the best voice of the X Factor finalists who is possibly supporting the entire lipgloss industry single handed. Worrying called ‘too-old’ by Sharon Osbourne, which must be like being called ‘too green’ by Shrek,
Kimberley Southwick – hands-down the most annoying human being on the face of the earth, all mental eyes and overly friendliness that probably masks a giant self-esteem issue that’ll split open like an infected snake bit a month into the X Factor finals. Not someone you’d want as a girlfriend, and
Emily Nakanda – a painfully young girl who may have almost died once and possesses a voice so uncomfortably earnest that we’ve actually been scared that her eyes will pop if she ever attempts Beautiful by Christina Aguilera. Possibly believes that God wanted her to be on X Factor.
Can the 14-24 females win X Factor this year? These betting odds say ‘meh’. Current X Factor betting odds – 7/2
