X Factor Betting Odds – This Week’s Winning Manager Odds
Another week of X Factor has passed, another caterwauling fool has been eliminated, and another week has passed with The Conway Sisters still inexplicably involved with the programme.
But where does this leave the poor old X Factor managers? Is anybody still interested whether Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh or Sharon Osbourne wins the competition? Well, of course we are. The day we lose interest in the result is the day that the three of them stop pretending that they don’t really get on. And that’s a grave day.
So here is this week’s set of X Factor winning manager betting odds, with help as usual from Betfair.com…
Simon Cowell – Saturday’s biggest surprise wasn’t that Chenai was
eliminated, or that Nicholas was almost eliminated, but that The Conway
Sisters weren’t eliminated. Their song was so terminally lousy that
even Simon Cowell himself slagged them off. Perhaps, as we suspect,
he’d like to ditch The Conway Sisters so he can try and groom Journey
South into the world-beating buskers that he wants them to be.
We’re pretty sure that Simon isn’t going to be the winning manager
of X Factor, unless Journey South somehow get good enough to be
taken seriously. If that does happen, though, some betters are going to
get pretty rich – Simon’s odds are diabolical at the moment. Current
odds – 5.4
Louis Walsh – Some people will tell you that Louis Walsh’s chances
of winning took a mighty knock on Saturday by losing Chenai from his
squad. But those people are idiots; was Chenai ever – ever – going to
win X Factor? No she wasn’t, she couldn’t even speak properly. In fact,
Louis could have lost Chenai and Nicholas on Saturday without a
noticeable difference. Because he has Shayne, and Shayne will win.
Probably.
So it’s worth noting that, although his odds have dropped a bit,
Louis is still firmly in the running to be the X Factor winning
manager. Current odds – 2.62
Sharon Osbourne – On paper it looks like Sharon Osbourne has it in
the bag already. There have been four X Factor eliminations and none of
them have been from her posse. But, if you look a bit closer, a
different picture emerges. Sure, she still has four contestants left in
the running, but one of them is Chico - who is obviously not going to
last long, and two more are Brenda and Maria – good singers without any
real kind of hope of winning the competition.
That leaves Andy, who we’re beginning to think Sharon is beginning
to get complacent with. So, although she has the best odds of winning X
Factor, we’d be inclined to think otherwise. Current odds – 2.22
Tomorrow we’ll look at the betting odds for the next X Factor elimination. But if you want to
