As much as we’re legally obliged to love X Factor and get up real close to the TV screen when X Factor is on and laugh at all the bad idiots and kiss Sharon Osbourne on the mouth when she’s not looking, we do have some X Factor-related reservations.

Mainly, we can’t help that noticing that X Factor is becoming a bit of a soap opera. Last year we thought we’d seen the worst of it when Louis Walsh flounced off like a nancy, but this year looks just as bad, as you’ll see tomorrow when a load of X Factor is given over to Sharon Osbourne going “There’s been a fiiiiire in my currrrrrrrsed houssssse,” like a sad witch instead of actual X Factor auditions.
