X factor betting odds Leona LewisUntil Saturday, we were beginning to think that X Factor was getting a little bit stale. Every week was the same old  thing; a mouldy old rocker shoehorned into an uncomfortably-fitting theme night that's really just an extended advert for their Greatest Hits album.

But all that changed on Saturday's X Factor. Because on Saturday's X Factor everybody got to choose their own song independently of their expert judges, and the result was a masterstroke of deranged lunacy we just didn't think X Factor was capable of. What's that? You want to sing a tartan-bedecked Bay City Rollers song? Whatever you say, turdface. And you? A tuneless Queen song without the aid of any instruments at all? Be my guest you effing moron. Letting the remaining X Factor hopefuls pick their own songs was genius - in one stroke it proved that however bad you think the X Factor judges are at picking songs, they're not as bad as Ray.

Here are the X Factor betting odds for Leona Lewis to win…

Leona Lewis - In a way, we're pleased that X Factor is almost over. Not because it's a coldly manipulative exercise in making text-vote revenue by creating false emotional feeling for a handful of bland singers, but because trying to think up pithy ways to describe Leona Lewis is an almost impossible task. Week after week Leona Lewis has strolled on stage, belted out a technically perfect power ballad without really connecting with the audience and strolled off again. Leona Lewis had another bash at an up-tempo tune on Saturday's X Factor, singing Could It Be Magic. And she succeeded too, mainly because she got to do a traditional "hoo-hoo-hoo" power-ballady intro. After that Leona got to sing the song of her choice and she chose Without You, which revealed that - surprise surprise - Leona Lewis likes Mariah Carey. It's hard to think of a more obvious choice of song for Leona to sing than Without You, although we should all be deeply thankful she picked that Maria tune rather than, say, Don't Stop (Funkin' 4 Jamaica). Still, it made a pleasant change to hear a version of Without You that wasn't sung by a red-eyed middle-aged divorcee at 11pm at a sparsely-populated karaoke night in a pikey town centre pub. Current X Factor betting odds - 1/4
