X Factor Betting Odds – Conway Sisters Booted, Who’ll Win?

***Early next year, the X Factor contestants – even The Conway Sisters – are going on tour! Check out the tour dates and buy tickets here***

X_factor_betting_odds_conway_sisters_outAfter weeks and weeks of off-key wailing and always walking to the front of the stage towards the end of every song, The Conway Sisters have finally been eliminated from X Factor.

Seeing The Conway Sisters go was a beautiful thing to watch; there was the misplaced optimism of singing Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now, the look on their faces when their own X Factor mentor Simon Cowell gave them the shove, their bewildering "Thank you Louis! We love Ireland! Ireland Ireland Ireland!" defeat speech – it was perfect. But, let’s face it, completely inevitable.

But now that The Conway Sisters have been dispatched back to live the rest of their lives as bitter hasbeens, are we any closer to discovering an X Factor winner? Here are the latest betting odds to win X Factor, with help from Betfair.com

Chico Slimari - We’d love to say that Chico won the day on Saturday,
but he didn’t: that little dancing black kid did. Chico’s performance
of Billie Jean was a complete atonal mess, and if it wasn’t for the
appearance of that little dancing black kid doing another dance, the
performance would have been completely without merit. We wish other
problems could be solved as easily as Chico solves his. Let’s say you’re about to
get fired, or the wife has just found your giant stash of filthy
shitting porn, or you’ve just killed a man and the police are on your
tail. Everything looks lost until – oh look – here’s a little dancing
black kid! Not only would you be instantly forgiven, people would love
you. What was our point? Oh yeah, Chico probably won’t win X Factor. Current
odds – 29

Brenda Edwards – We kind of liked Brenda until Saturday. But then
everything changed – she had to go and sing I Will Always Love You,
didn’t she? Or – to be more precise, as she didn’t actually pronounce
"I" properly – Uurgh Will Always Love You. There’s nothing like a burst
of Whitney Houston to get the plebby morons voting, especially when
it’s the song that makes all number of fat crosseyed couples across the country look at
each other in a gooey way because they didn’t have the imagination
to pick a better ‘our tune’. It was bland boring karaoke wedding
reception nonsense. Current odds – 7.8

Journey South – Saturday saw Journey South sleepwalk through another
rubbish X Factor performance. All the key ingredients were there: the
painfully sincere choice of song, the weird look on the guitary one’s
face, the non-guitary one pumping his fist into the air all the sodding
time, the constant "Woo! Come on, clap your hands! Yeah!" ad-libs
throughout the song. And scarily, the public love it. Journey South
probably won’t win X Factor, but it’ll be a close-run thing. And we’ll
never understand why. Current odds – 4.6

Andy Abraham – In week one of the live X Factor shows, Andy sang a
Whitney Houston song, and got a tremendous reception for it. He was
obviously trying to replicate that effect on Saturday as he sang
another Whitney song, I Have Nothing. It was a clever
choice of tune – as a binman, Andy literally does have nothing,
except for some smelly gloves and a half-eaten pot of yogurt with some
hair in it – but it was a bit too predictable and snoozeworthy for our
liking. Andy needs to pull something really special out of the bag to
become a worthy challenger to Shayne. Current odds – 4.1

Shayne Ward - As much as we hate to admit it, Shayne probably gave
the best performance of the night on Saturday. It was like a weird
Chico song, but sung in tune and with no little dancing black kid. It
showed a bit more personality than the usual rapey Dad/flirt with
Sharon shtick he normally pulls. Not that we’re fans or anything. But
at least it made a change from Whitney Fucking Houston. Current odds -
2.6
