X Factor betting odds ChicoWe're still no closer to knowing which of the 100,000 grasping, deluded approval-seekers who applied for X Factor will make it to the live finals shows, but it doesn't matter.

Why should it? Instead of fretting about which of the X Factor contestants you'll want to blow your wages on by voting for, you should be working out how X Factor can make you money - by betting on this week's borderline demented X Factor special bets. Yesterday we looked at the betting odds of Rebecca Loos becoming an guest X Factor judge, but today's bet is something so genuinely horrific that we can't even bring ourselves to think about it in case it actually drives us insane.

Here are the X Factor betting odds for Chico to stand in for Kate Thornton and present X Factor

Chico to stand in for Kate Thornton and present X Factor in 2006 - We get the feeling that, no matter how ill she ever gets, Kate Thornton would still drag herself to the X Factor studio ready to present the show every Saturday. Not because she's a hero or anything, but because she's probably shit-scared that a replacement would show her up to be the rubbish ITV4 Showbusiness News presenter she knows she is. And, anyway, if Kate Thornton couldn't make it one week for whatever reason - let's say she suffocated while being hugged to death by an idiot or her brain exploded while trying to make her mouth pronounce a rudimentary three-syllable word - Ben Shepherd from Xtra Factor would step in, not Chico. Imagine how awful it would be if Chico presented X Factor. Go on, actually imagine it. He'd have the name changed to Chico Factor and the judges swapped with some breakdancing infants before the end of the first half, the big old daft tit. Current X Factor betting odds - 33/1

Tomorrow - X Factor betting odds for Sharon Osbourne getting so drunk she falls off a chair. Seriously.
