You probably know Carrie Underwood as the American Idol singer who wins all those country music awards.
Well guess what? She’s won some country music awards. We know – we’re just as flabbergasted as you. At last night’s CMT Music Awards, Carrie Underwood walked away with Video Of The Year and Performance Of The Year, beating off the likes of Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Blind Willy Pistolwhip, Boozy Joe And The Domestic Violence Charges and Toothless Jick McGoonahey’s Spittoon Banjo Allstars.
But still, congratulations to Carrie Underwood! May your persistent award victories continue to mask your total lack of personality!
Interesting night at the CMT Music Awards yesterday. Did you know they only hand out nine awards? It used to be more, but organisers recently decided to do away with the Best Video About A Man In A Stupid Hat Singing An Awful Twingy Twangy Country Song From The Back Of A Pick-Up Truck category, because they realised that all country music videos are technically about that.
But apart from that, the main story of the night was that Carrie Underwood won two CMT Music Awards, for the categories we only just told you about. Jesus, don’t you people listen? BBC News reports:
Former American Idol star Carrie Underwood scooped two trophies at this year’s Country Music Television Awards. The singer won video of the year and also performance of the year. Collecting one of her awards, Underwood addressed her “awesome fans”. She said: “They were there before I had anything, an album, a record deal, a tour or anything like that. They built me from the ground up.”
Carrie Underwood can now add these two awards to all the other awards she’s won, like the ACM award and the AMA awards and the People’s Choice award and World’s Sexiest Vegetarian award. What’s the secret to her success? Could it be that she’s the only female country singer on Earth not to be an alcoholic of a victim of domestic violence or a closet lesbian or the wife of a child molester? So, girls, remember – don’t marry child molesters. That’s possibly our point.

So you are a loser if you dont recognize talent and a great personality! Are you jealous or something? Way to go Carrie!!!!

Good job, Carrie!! I don’t understand why people keep saying she doesn’t have a personality———I guess if you always try to be nice and kind to people, that is what they say. At least she isn’t a big fake like most entertainers.

I agree Mary, someone sounds a little jealous to me. Way to go Carrie and many more awards to come!!!

She may not have the personality of Miranda, Kelly, Reba, Taylor, etc but the girl can flat sing about any genre there is. When she does break out of her shyness-she’s definitely funny, and she’s not afraid to show the world that she’s a Christian in a world where they want to take “under God” out of the Pledge of Allegiance. What makes her special is she was pluck from a farm in a small one light town in Oklahoma and is living the dream of a lifetime. It’s the Cinderella story and America can’t help but root for that. Oh and she’s darn pretty too!

What I’m wondering is why Carrie at age 27 having been in the business for five years always gets a pass when it comes to her personality as being “shy”. Yet a young girl like Taylor Swift who’s only 20 gets bashed for looking “surprised” if she wins awards. I just don’t get why underwood being so much older then Taylor gets a pass, especially since she’s won more country awards. It’s underwood who should have it mastered by now. Plus, after all this time Carrie still looks “surpised” when she wins yet that never makes headlines. LOL, double standards. Perhaps people think taylor deserves it more, since they have a problem with her “surprised” looks and no problem at all with Carrie’s look of total “shock” every time she wins.
I actually happy Taylor hasn’t won lately because I get so tired of people bashing her because she looks surprised to have won. Now maybe when she wins again and looks surprised that won’t be the headline since she hasn’t won lately.

I love both CArrie and Taylor. As far as how they accept their awards, I don’t know why either one of them gets criticism. How are they supposed to act? Of course, they are happy and excited. I really believe that both of them are very sincere and nice people. Their personalities and music are different but they are both young and beautiful and talented. Why either one gets bashed, I’ll never know.
