Then buzz it up

There’s some confusion over at XL, the record label of The White Stripes.
On Tuesday night, it’s website revealed all about the guitar & drum combo’s new single and new look. But then it got removed really quickly.
hecklerspray says: not quickly enough, losers!
For instance, they left the story online long enough for the world to find out that their new single is to be called ‘Blue Orchid’, and it will be released on April 18th.
A photo was also posted, which gave away the following ground-breaking details…
Meg has had a haircut!
Jack wears a hat!
And that’s about it, really. What were you expecting, gold spandex?
The new single is said to have a more ‘Bryan Adams-y’ feel, features the St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, and the B-side is a remix by Lisa Lashes.
Just kidding. It’ll probably be exactly the same as their last four albums, a bunch of witless shrieking and crappy drumming that sounds like it was recorded in an upturned metal dustbin.
