Wes Craven Hates Pauly Shore For Reasons Other Than The Obvious
Then buzz it up

It's fair to say that nobody could ever find a place in their heart for supremely irritating backwards gonk Pauly Shore, but Wes Craven has less reason than most - Wes says Pauly Shore buggered up his house by being a rubbish neighbour.
And now it's got legal - Wes Craven has filed a lawsuit against Pauly Shore claiming that Shore renovated his house so uselessly recently that water runoff from the building work ended up seriously damaging Craven's home. The damages that Wes Craven is seeking from Pauly Shore are unspecified for the time being, but we can assume that Wes Craven means business here; because this is a real lawsuit, not a silly clever-clever lawsuit that smartly deconstructs the conventions of other lawsuits. Plus this lawsuit hasn't got The Fonz in it, which we suppose is something.
In a way we're glad that Wes Craven and Pauly Shore don't seem to get along as neighbours. Imagine if they did - there'd be all sorts of talk about collaborations, and frankly we think the world is probably a better place without hokey teen horror films starring the man from Bio-Dome and directed by the man who made Cursed. It's probably not an overstatement to say that every human being on Earth would probably kill themselves in the most painful way possible if that film ever got made.
So there's reason to celebrate the fact that Wes Craven and Pauly Shore bloody well hate each other. In an industry where lawsuits are rife - everyone from Gordon Ramsay to Michael Jackson to Taylor Hicks has had their hand in a lawsuit lately - it's nice to see that even celebrity neighbours need to sue each other to end disputes, rather than just lobbing carrier bags full of burning dogshit over their fences like everyone in England does.
Anyway, Wes Craven is suing Pauly Shore because he says that renovation work on Pauly's house led to a surge of water which led to a landslide which led to Wes Craven's house being worth a lot less than what it was before. E! Online reports:
Per the suit, Shore "failed to properly or adequately design, construct, build, furnish, maintain and/or repair his yard," causing "substantial damage" to the Craven homestead, including a significant reduction in the value of the property, the exact amount of which will be determined in court. Craven alleges that Shore's failure to prevent a surge of water, which, in addition to causing a "permanent and continuous nuisance," showed, per the suit, a negligent and careless disregard for the neighbors' boundary line, did damage to more than just his landscaping.
That's right, Wes Craven - a man who once filmed a scene where an invisible undead child-murderer slices open a girl's stomach with his finger-knives in a dream - is suffering from "severe emotional distress and anxiety" because Pauly Shore can't build a house properly. Fair enough, we suppose. After all, we couldn't even manage to make it through an entire screening of In The Army Now, so imagine how crappy actually living next door to Pauly Shore has to be, with or without building damage.

The mere fact that Pauly Shore and Wes Craven live next to each other is funnier than anything I’ve ever seen Pauly Shore do.
