[1] Earth's people have been making lots of Stuff in return for 'dollars'. [2] They discovered where 'dollars' come from: devious people in 'America' make them up out of nothing. [3] Now everybody fears that 'dollars' will dissolve into nothingness, they refuse to make all that Stuff. [4] Hence, we have a shortage of Stuff.
