Typically, when I say the words “We need to talk about Ke$ha” it’s in a text to my bff Melissa, which I’m sending because Ke$ha has dropped a dope new song that we HAVE to get white-girl wasted to. However, I may not get to send anymore texts like that because both Sony and the American “justice” system are royally fucking over both Ke$ha and her career.
In case you’re not in the know, Kesha (I’m dropping the $ now because I’m going to get into serious talk…and frankly it’s exhausting to keep doing that) has been working with this music producer, Dr. Luke, since she was about 18. She accused Dr. Luke of drugging and raping her when she was still a teen and being incredibly emotionally and sexually abusive to her over the years making their work relationship a living hell.
Naturally, Kesha was like: “Hey Sony, I can’t do this anymore. I can’t keep working for you guys and being forced to work with this asshole producer who also happens to be my rapist.” You’d think that Sony would be like “Woah! This is how this guy treats our female artists? Yeah, we don’t want to work with him anymore either!” But, no. Dr. Luke is a big money making, middle-aged white dude so ain’t nobody getting mad at him. Instead Sony was like: “LOL, ok well you have a contract with us, but you can work with a different producer, but maybe still Dr. Luke, because he still gets to profit from your career, k?”
Apparently Kesha did not say “k” and filed a suit to get out of her deal with Sony, which on Friday got turned down because apparently a contract with a music label is worth more than a woman’s body, mental well-being and career.
If you just read all that and took it all in, you might be thinking “No, that can’t be right. She must be leaving something out. Everything about that seems way too evil and unethical and misogynistic and terrible to be real.” But no…it’s right.
We officially live in a world where a group of people will kill a baby dolphin just so they can take a fun selfie (LOL, DEAD BABY DOLPHIN, SO FUN, JESSICA HOW DOES MY HAIR LOOK? PUT SOME SUNGLASSES ON HIM! IT’S LIKE WEEKEND AT BERNIE’S…BUT WITH DOLPHINS!), where a bunch of white people are literally outraged and offended that Beyoncé likes the fact that she’s black and thinks black lives matter, and both the music industry and the courts think that it’s totally fine for a woman to have to work with/be exposed to her abuser because she has a contract…and if she refuses, there goes her career.
Dolphins belong in the ocean, Beyoncé is a bad bitch, black lives do matter, and this thing with Kesha is bullshit. That lunatic emo brat who sings that “Here” song can get constant radio play with her whiney “I’m at a party, but I hate parties, here’s all the reasons I hate this party, I’m going to go wait in the car, just kidding I’m back to complain some more and stand in the corner and judge everyone…I DON’T WANT TO GET WITH YOU” song, but Kesha can’t put out any sweet jams because she doesn’t want to work with the guy who Bill Cosby’d her for 10 years? Are you fucking kidding me?
If you need me, I’ll be beating two raccoons to death, wearing them as shoes, robbing a McDonald’s and throwing my wrappers at homeless people and small children, then proceeding to burn them with cigarettes because apparently the world is a terrible place and we can just do whatever we want and be shitty people as long as Sony keeps making its dolla billz and uppity white folks can still enjoy “Single Ladies.”

I get your point. However.. in general.. I tend to downplay any written material by someone who constantly types in capitals and LOLs, etc. The piece reads like I could have written that in junior high.
Commanding respect for important topics (especially being a woman, as I am) begins with the command of the written language. Otherwise we end up with the general populace of idiots that make up the nation reading this and trolling instead of actually taking the meaning to heart. If you make money, you stay. Most would argue that is just ‘good business’. However those that argue with that logic tend to be middle aged privileged white men who are the ones ‘conducting on the basis of good business’.

Actually, anyone who can read at a 5th grade level should know that the lawsuit is not over and has not yet been “lost” by Kesha. She simply lost an injunction petition where she asked the court to allow her to work outside of the Sony contract while the lawsuit was pending and on-going.
Facts can be hard.

So..does this worthless blogger really think that the courts should just take a persons ACCUSATIONS as fact and automatically side with her?
And even when she testified UNDER OATH 4 years earlier that the accused had never made any sexual advancements toward her?
jkfan87 says
Firsthardcheese is right. She hasn’t lost…yet. But she will. There is noting to prove her claims. Nothing at all. And hte courts don’t work on She said he said. Especially when the “she” in question said just the opposite under oath a few years earlier.
Can’t say in 2011 that the guy never made any sexual advancements toward you and then suddenly turn around when you want to get out of a contract that you willingly signed and that made you a star and claim that he was raping you for 10 years…well before you gave that testimony under oath.
I guess Kesha wants to get out of her contract os bad she is willing to get a perjury charge against her for what she said in 2011? Or is that why she waited so long? Waiting for the statute of limitations to run out on that? Either way, with absolutely no evidence to back up her case, she HAS no case.

Maybe her telling a court under oath in 2011 that he never raped or drugged her didn’t help her case a few years later, when she claimed he raped and drugged her and that she wants to get out of her contract…

Really? No one has considered that all this could just be another one of the Illuminati’s bull to shit our minds……
I’m also so busy analyzing the court case I didnt analyze all the possible satanism either. Great! We’re all on the same page here.

What I meant to say was – she may have said (under oath) that she wasn’t being violated sexually probably cuz she was threatened or messed(-in-the-head) with or sumthn, i mean, there has to be an explanation, she can’t just fabricate “rape”… So. Yeah. That’s something to consider. Oh and besides I don’t think she was this famous at that time and we probably wouldn’t have given as much fuck as we do now if she had come out. And again, duh! She signed the contract, she should know better than to keep silent after being (constantly) raped and only just come out now when things couldn’t be more sour for her.
This while matter is just…

Innocent until proven guilty, you can’t ignore the presumption of innocence because it’s ideologically convenient for you to assume he’s a rapist.
Oh and the writer is another trash wishing she was a “minority” so she could blame everyone else for her own failures.
